Whatever, I  really don't care anymore, regardless of what the Keep will require I know I probably will not be able to do it anyways to the Keep system having Limitations & Restrictions on it. I know it more than likely will not work on my 56k Dial Up that is probably why Bioware hasn't revealed it yet.

 

If they would make it like Previous Bioware games using Direct Import Method instead of this Keep system then I wouldn't have to worry & be nervous & scared over this situation. Now thanks to the Keep many of us who use Dial Up may indeed be forced on Default or Selection Options whatever Inquisition will support when it is Released. Based on my Research Inquisition will have Pre-Selection choices for those who play the game on DEFAULT.

 

Hawke will be a Mage who sided with the Mages & The Origins Warden will be an Elf, but it isn't known what Gender Mage Hawke will be in Inquisition.

 

I am going to take a break & just wait till Inquisition is released or wait till The Keep system is released, It should be fairly soon around August or September. I am hoping during E3 since Inquisition will be there Bioware will reveal everything on DK.

 

But I am not holding out any hope on DK being useable on Dial Up or the USB Flash Drive. for now I am not worried on it anymore, & I am going to be playing Drakengard 3 in a couple of days May 20th.

 

Followed by Diablo 3 Ultimate & TOX-2 both on August 19th so I am not worried about a game that isn't released until October 7th which is about 6 more months away.

 

I bet a million Bucks the Keep will not work on Dial Up, & will be DSL, Broadband & Wi-Fi only.

 

Also there is no sense in replaying previous games anymore due to DIRECT IMPORT previous Articles says Direct Import Is UNLIKELY.

 

Cause of Next Gen & Frost Bite 3 I know may be forced to play DEFAULT but I will WAIT before I decide what to do.

 

My Friends are also in the same boat I am in we all have 56k Dial Up, they are also Nervous.

Exactly!!! it is a web site 56k doesn't stop you from going to them and if you noticed several people told you how you could fix your problem with your console. So calm down and actually read what they have provided. It can work for you.

E3 is what, 3 weeks away? If you just lay off the forums, take a chill pill, and come back after E3 we will more than likely have more, if not most, information about the Keep.

And if we still don't know, it sounds like you've got a lineup of games to keep you busy and keep your mind off something you have no control over.

Yes, I can get on the Forums with 56K Dial Up using my Laptop Compaq Persario using Windows 7, I can get Online & do the basic of things. But what is the point of that when my Laptop is running 56k Dial Up.

 

Consoles run on DSL, Wi-Fi, Broadband, they do not work on 56K so the only method would be the USB Flash Drive this way I could use my 56K Dial Up to get on the Keep Site then I can use my USB Flash, to Upload the Keep World-State into my Playstation 3 version of Inquisition.

 

So I would be cool if the Keep Site would do a move like this, for now I am super busy, Drakengard 3 is going to be amazing, Zero looks awesome I love the Dark Mature look of Drakengard 3.

 

Followed by some sweet new Vita games such as Soul Sacrifice Delta my friends say the game is DIGITAL ONLY being like Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment if so then I will get FREEDOM WARS, Conception or Toukiden Age of Demons,

 

I am killing time until 8-19 TOX-2 & Diablo 3 then those 2 games until Inquisition & MORDOR both on 10-07. Will be watching Falling Skies Season 4 & go to see Transformers Age of Extinction.

 

Did you know AOE marks my 30th Year of being with Transformers 1984-2014 hopefully it will make up for the crappy DOTM.

 

For now I am just going to wait for E3 which is about 3 weeks if I am not mistaken, Inquisition isn't the Only game I wanna see, from Halo Gaurdians, to ME 4 to possible ME Trilogy HD which has already been leaked.

 

Followed by Leaks of Nintendo Metroid, Star Fox new Draqon Quest, & Zelda which is Open World like Skyrim.

 

For now I will just wait, kill time & see what it is really going on with Dragon's Keep.

 

Also the Drawf Girls from Origins is in Inquisition as a Resource from the KEEPS.

I still love replaying the previous Dragon Age games heck I still replay Mass Effect, & I have probably replayed both of these series more than anyone & no one has probably clocked in as many hours & replayed these games as much as I have.

 

I just feel it is a Kick in the Nuts, Basically cause of Next Gen previous consoles have to suffer also. I understand the New consoles not being able to do Direct Import. But I don't understand why previous consoles can not do Direct Import.

 

Being my PS3 or my 360  say my Origins PS3 or my Origins 360, my DA 2 PS3 or my DA 2 PS3 into my Inquisition 360 & or my Inquisition PS3 via Direct Import like previous games did.

 

Current should be allowed to work like previous & shouldn't be made to suffer cause of Next-Gen being the X1 & PS4, the Keep Site should have just been made for those 2 consoles & be made like ME 2's GENESIS Inter-Active Comic deal. to fix the deal about previous games not being on X1 & PS4.

 

Current should be left alone, many people who also use Current such as 360 & PS3 are like me who are the 1 in 5 we can get online using PCs or Laptops using 56K Dial Up while the consoles use Wi Fi, DSL, Broadband.

 

See my point Older consoles LEAVE ALONE, next Gen use DRAGON'S KEEP why couldn't Bioware make Inquisition like this.

Also regarding Dagna in Inquisition you will see her cause she is a Resource from the Keeps, something about her called Dagna The Artifact Rectifer or something like that.

 

Seems why she was in the Circle she specialized in Artifiacts, probably Deciphering them, or whatnot Each Keep gives you resources such as Dagna.

 

They are different ones also Military, Commerce & Trade, Espionage, also you can not go to certain Locations cause you have to be at a certain Strength I guess this means Military Strength.

 

Dales, Feredlen, & Orlais are the Regions in Inquisition but I don't think Kirkwall & The Free Marches are neither is Antiva, Neverra, Riviana but these could be future DLC Episodes.

 

Orlais is mainly the reason I want Inquisition hopefully I can finally Kill Morrigan once & for all & also Flemeth

why not use a libary computer then upload all the stuff on a usb stick?

Maybe the Keep will be able to generate a downloadable save file for offline use?

Create flags -> download -> USB transfer to offline platform.

I doubt the Keep will require high speed internet connection,it's just selecting choices,not an online version of the previous games lol.

What are the standards they go by? Are they the same amount of people who still play Baldur's Gate? Probably not a significant amount in the grand scheme of things, but significant to the player, certainly. And what happens to the DA players in 10+ years if there is "little to no active player base"? Since an internet connection is not required to play, only to use the Keep, how will they know what the player base is? EA can certainly decide that it is no longer viable to host it on their own servers as well. Things change on the internet according to the whims of the company that controls the content, and we as consumers have little to no say in the matter.

 

I'm trying to think long term here. Anything could happen to EA, BioWare, or the DA franchise within 10+ years. If you are the type of player that dusts off your favorite games every few years, why wouldn't you be concerned that an important part of playing it (importing previous choices), might be eliminated?

 

Since these games were hosted on another parties servers, EA would have to do significant work to them to get them to work on their own servers. They can see how many active users each game has based on the data provided by Gamespy and they have clearly done a cost benefit analyses to decide that its not financially viable to switch many of these games over. (they have said they are working on some)

 

Does this suck for people who play these games? Yes, but I don't see how it translates to major concern over the future of the Keep.

 

As far as I know, EA has no history of shutting down support for games hosted on their own servers. Even if they did, the Keep will be a website not a multiplayer server. Websites are incredibly cheap to keep up and running, EA making a financial decision to take it down could indicate that the company is probably going to go under, so even if they were struggling financially they probably would keep it up anyway.

 

EA can see the user base of the Keep by looking at active Origin Accounts that have DA linked to them.

 

Bioware have stated that they intend to use the Keep not just for DA:I but for any future DA games, the more games the Keep supports the more likely it is that the Keep will stay up and running for a prolonged period of time.

 

Even if the worst does happen and both EA and Bioware go under and therefore take down the Keep, they probably would give players notice of this happening and allow them to download their saves, following suit with a number of digital distributors who went under and allowed their users to download their content. I'd be far more worried about my ability to play games that need Origin if this happened.

 

In the long term, I'm much more concerned about external factors preventing me from using the Keep then EA's ability to keep it up and running; the economic climate in my country, climate change causing my whole city to be flooded etc.

 

I understand you're concerned but given that they entire game industry is like this now, it seems like worry for worries sake.

 

98% of my PC library is in Steam, what would happen if Steam closed its doors? would I be screwed or would Steam give me time to access download my games DRM free. I hope the latter but I won't know for sure until to happens.

if your laptop has a Ethernet cable port you can make a crossover cable and still access the internet threw you laptop using that. It will then download your world state from the keep, which I would suggest using the keep at another location with a faster internet connection. the world state itself will probably be rather small though you may have to download a dayone patch wich could take you 3-4 hours on a 56k. But that is my best suggestion for you.

Look, I am tired of fighting over things I have no control over, it sucks even worse cause I am that rare 1 in 5. But for now since E3 will be here in about 3 weeks I will wait & see what Bioware will deliver regarding Inquisition.

 

Inquisition is suppose to be at E3 so is the rumored Mass Effect 4 also rumored to be called CONTACT which is suppose to be a prequel about the Shanxi Turian-Human 1st Contact Wars but for not this is just rumors. I really hope ME 4 will be its own game not a sequel & not a prequel yet something new & unique that will be & feel like Mass Effect.

 

No Shepard sort of how Halo Gaurdians is doing with No John or Cortana in Guardians, for now I am going to be busy Tuesday cause I got to go get Drakengard 3 on May 20th.

 

Then even more busier followed by Diablo & TOX in August so I am going to take a break & see what Bioware will do, I am sure Bioware will make some way to do the DK System regardless of your Net Connections.

 

Also I can probably take my Laptop, a USB Flash Drive my PS3 Console to my Relatives since they have Wireless but it is Super Bad Super Slow but I guess beggers cant be choosy I used it before.

 

That is how I DLC my ME & DA DLC just takes forever & a coons age to Download massive files such as Omega, but I hope the Keep since it just like a Survey deal with be a Easy to do & easy to Access APP.

 

I assume Inquisition will read my Keep World State once I log into Inquisition Online with my Console once Inquisition Boots Up.

 

Should Ask for my EA Origins Account, ETC.

I'll ask, once again, for you to cite your source. Post a link. If the US national average for DSL/Wi-Fi is truly 1 in 5, I would love to know. That would mean that my little town in eastern KY is ahead of the national curve! Talk about bragging rights! We are last for everything! If there is no source, please stop making up 'facts.'

It seems where ever I go not a lot of people realize you can save both the Keep and Amaranthine at the same time. I hope this option is added to the keep!
