I would have a direct import than use the Keep, Direct Import is far easier to do & use than the Keep will be.
Should had left Direct Import alone on the PS3-360 Consoles & made DK deal for next gen only.
*sigh*

Right because direct import worked so well in past games.
Keep is a much more potent tool, and I can imagine it having a tool to import "state of the world" from previous saves (not sure if it will, I hope they do release it on E3, or at least soon™)

You mean leave the last-gen consoles with the save bugs?
I don't think your warden has to die for the orlesian warden to be warden commander. Although I haven't used the keep myself so I wouldn't know for certain. But I only can get the Orlesian Warden if my Warden dies in DAO? That's the problem.
Of course, depending on what they have in mind for the Warden, it might not be worthwhile to support a live Warden who didn't experience DAA. Or they're planning nothing for the Warden and none of this matters.

Odd anyone that has talked about the save imports have always said the save files were difficult to make sure it pulled the right variables, there was even a post the other day saying that in Dragon Age: Origins they named a variable differently in one of the DLC packs instead of the game so that is why it didn't import correctly to Dragon Age 2.

I think... not sure if right... that the save file transfers have been broken since Witch Hunt. If this is the case I can't fault them for Keep.

He was referring to the end-user experience, not the developer experience. Although, given the amount of bugs the save game import system perpetuated, I tend to disagree with that.

Ah, my bad. For me it would be a poor experience for me as well since I am switching platforms and there wouldn't be any kind of guarantee that saves from one platform are readable by another.

I think many end-users liked Mass Effect Genesis, which was basically the same thing.
And may I remind everybody that most of us have no clue on how the Keep interface looks or how it will work (outside of the few that are in classified beta), so we cannot speculate on how the end-user will think about it.
And they're off, another round of #dragonagekeep beta invites has been sent - good luck to all those who've applied

I didn't get one ![]()
How long does it take to know if we were chosen or not?

Is there an email address to add to the spam filter white list?
All done for today, but we'll send more invites out every day this week till friday. Good luck.
Yay to that we will have more invited sent out tomorrow and all week!
Is there an email address to add to the spam filter white list?
And that's a good question so that the address wouldn't go to spam.
I wonder if there's a way to tell if you were invited but the spam filter took the email?

These will normally go out from onlinecommunity -at- bioware -dot- com and call out something related to Dragon Age Keep in the subject.

Is there a way to know or find out if you have been invited but accidentally deleted your invite? Im not saying I did, but just in case something happens to me or to somebody else.
Not invited, yet… I wish I could retake that beta application survey… at the time I took the survey, I hadn't played Awakening, yet. Oh, well… hopefully I still get invited sometime this week… I'm too excited, lol

Yes. Mr. Melo said that they will be sending invites out once a day for the rest of the week. We all have such a great chance of being chosen now! Yay! Just adjusted my emails to filter the invite to my inbox instead of my spam folder.
