if you try and apply it will say "thanks for applying"or something. If you get the bug, it will just add another entry as has been said before.

I know that, and I did not see it at the top of the Scuttlebutt. I even did a search for it, and it wasn't even the first thing that came on. The Keep deals with imports, and all of those issues were import game issues from previous games. 

 

I did a search for "Dragon Age Keep" and a search for "Keep" and it was the first thing that came up.  I'm guessing based on your next comments that you did a search in particular sections of the forum.  Doesn't matter now, you found it

I've started to wonder if the fact that I mentioned in my application that I'm a long time fan and have played both games dozens of times pretty much relegated me to not getting in until the end? Perhaps they prefer testers who don't have much - if any - experience with the franchise.

I am trying to figure out why it would not have some sort of randomness to it.

I've heard conflicting things - that it's random, and that they look for different qualities in testers at different stages of the beta.
