Still nothing here, either :(

I've started to wonder if the fact that I mentioned in my application that I'm a long time fan and have played both games dozens of times pretty much relegated me to not getting in until the end? Perhaps they prefer testers who don't have much - if any - experience with the franchise.

They got tens of thousands of applications, I doubt they're even reading many of them.

At this point surely they'd just be selecting people at random who meet whatever criteria they're looking for - remember, the application form had lists of which DA games you've played, which other game series you enjoy, whether you're a casual or hardcore player, etc.

A week or so after they opened the application form, I think Laidlaw said they got 32,000 application.  I imagine ten thousand more have trickled in since then.

I still think the majority of them will get an invite when the time comes for the pure server stress test stage.  I'm still amazed that none of the testers have leaked anything though.

Same here. I can't believe that nothing has been leaked, not even a screenshot.

It's all a massive bluff. The Keep doesn't exist, we're getting save imports after all :)

Aren't NDAs and EULAs some of the biggest lies ever told?  "Yes, I Agree"  ROFL!

(in case any devs are reading this... the opinions expressed are not necessarily those of the author's) ;)

Quick questions here, and I'm sorry to waste your time if they have been asked before.

Let's imagine a scenario where you play a "canon" game with Origins and Awakening for the Inquisiton save transfer, but you avoid Dragon Age 2, because it's terrible.

- Is it possible to upload that save to the Keep to pick your choices for DA-2 while not being obliged to re-select for Origins?

- If it is indeed possible, will the Keep save the visual data(face) as well as the minor details that is possibly not in the Keep "choice generator" for the Warden? Such as the child Dwarf Warden can sire with the noble hunter?

These have been bugging me for some time, any info that I've missed is greatly appreciated.

You can't upload anything to the Keep - it's a browser-based application. It will be a checklist style system for all games.

The Keep won't have a character creator or anything like that, so you won't be able to determine Hawke or the Warden's appearance using it. We don't know precisely what decisions will feature, but they apparently number in the dozens, so it's likely some of the more minor choices will be in there, yes.

At this time there is no "upload" feature, you manually enter the variables.  What I understand (and I could be really wrong) is you can leave fields blank and the game will use a default state for those options, just like if you didn't have DLC in the Mass Effect games.

Allright, thank you both. It appears I have to go through the Kirkwall experience again.

I don't see why you have to play Dragon Age 2 if you don't like it, for the only way to import a save into Dragon Age Inquisition is from The Keep.

No, you don't. You have to tick some boxes when the Keep is released. You cannot import saves into the Keep, nor into the game itself.

The most freeing thing about the keep?  Knowing that I don't have to do every tiny side quest in Origins or DA2  during my playthroughs out of paranoia that it might come up in a future game.

Still no info on DAK while we did got about DAI,the only logical reason would be they're far away from releasing it,constant changes.
If it will be released before DAI then it will probably have a lot of issues/unfinished product.
But if not released before DAI = players forced to play default/pre-built history save.

They already have said they're releasing it a few months ahead of time to give time to perfect your save files; they probably didn't mention DA Keep because it's still in beta, and E3 is a show designed to sell games to new users, not to established fan base, who are the only people who would truly care. What more info can they really give us?

It will be released before DAI. What would even be the point of releasing it afterwards? The ship will have sailed by October 10th.

They didn't talk about it much at E3 because a website where you can set your world state is only fascinating to hard core fans at the moment. It's hardly something that will bring in new players, which is what E3 is all about. I imagine they'll use it as a promotional tool closer to release. ("Recreate your choices if you played the first two games! Catch up on the story if you didn't!")

Which is not to say that it isn't a buggy mess right now. I'm sure it is (which is why I want to help out by betaing!) but they have three months to fix it. That's heaps of time for what probably amounts to an interactive check list with some music and maybe some illustrations or animation.

You can sell DAI without the Keep, but the Keep isn't interesting to people that aren't already sold on DAI.  Obviously they want to get DAI out there as much as possible as their priority.  Anyone that care's enough to want to use the Keep is probably going to research the  game well enough to discover it anyway.

They aren't selling the Keep anyway, so its not like they have too much stake in its exposure beyond how interesting it is to players of DAI.

Lucky you... Back in my day I had to get a job here to make sure I didn't miss out on something.
