Is the keep going to give an option to create the Warden or Hawke we created in DA 1 & 2 or are we stuck with the default options. I know it's a long shot to have that but I figured I would ask.

You'll be able to customize them to an extent I'm sure (race, gender, class) but there isn't a character creator for appearance in the Keep if that's what you're asking.

No actual specific options have been discussed though as far as what Keep choices and things there are.

So when Bioware says the Keep will let users tailor the game world exactly how they want, does that mean every finite detail will be changeable and will matter?

For me, when I played through the Mass Effects, even slight mentions or slight changes meant a lot to me and my overall experience. Knowing my character made a difference, no matter how small, remembering how I made that difference, it was a great feeling. And while I loved DA:O and Awakening (and tolerated DA:2), I don't wanna go back and play over 100 hours of the exact same choices just to get the exact save state I want. Bioware mentioned that a DA:2 import used over 600 data points to determine even tiny factors, and that this was prone to bugs, which will be resolved by the Keep. So that gives me hope.

How detailed do you think the Keep is going to let us go?

They've said there are tons of different things we can customize, so I'm sure the world states will be thorough. I'm really optimistic that the Keep will be pretty great in depth and presentation. They seem to really be putting a lot into it, and if it's going to be used in future games they'll want to get as much in the first time.

I think it will be about as accurate as importing a save into Mass Effect, but being a lot more in-depth then the Genesis DLC to create a new save.  I believe that there will be choices that won't be part of The Keep because they never planned those choices to be part of Inquisition, but I think there will be enough to make the world feel like its reacting to choices made in previous games.  Of course until I really see The Keep, its all personal expectations and I am trying to keep those low.

Replaying wouldn't help anyway, would it?

I expect about two dozen choices per game (Maybe fewer for Awakening) if they include many character relationship related choices.

Yeah! You didn't know that one line of dialogue would bar you from a quest, but now you have to play through two games again to get it.

Fortunately, using the Keep, one won't have to re-play any part of any game to get the same result!  B)

One won't be "uploading saves" from prior games at all.  One will be "creating the world-state" one wants to have a available for the next  game!

Fernando Melo just said that the occurrence of the next round of invites has not been decided yet. They are still letting the people who got in get acclimated and then they will decide about when the next round will happen. As of right now though it is not in the foreseeable future. :( I don't have an invite yet either so I'm eagerly awaiting this info!

It is already a given any YouTube playthrough you watch will likely not look like your Shephard. Why should sex matter, when the race and appearance could as well?

My Hispanic Shephard will never be on a YouTube playthrough. That doesn't mean I can't find a video showing me what happens in ME3 if I had downloaded Katsumi's DLC.

I still somehow doubt they would design something that has you sit there checking 300 boxes for half an hour.

Seriously though why not?  You could spend however long you want ticking those boxes. And they have said there will be some form of visual element to it as well for people who never played the previous games or forgot aka "Why is it important that I choose Elves or Werewolves?"

Keep mind that with exclusive choices, those 300+ decisions end up being 50-100 due to the tree branching and all that. Considering it covers two games and their dlc, that's pretty light and easy to get through.

Inquisitor and company rides up to the Vigil...

Inquisitor: Go and tell your commander that we have been charged by the Divine with a sacred quest. If he will give us food and shelter for the night, he can join us in our quest for the Urn of Sacred Ashes to help close the breach.

Varel: Well, I'll ask him, but I don't think he will be very keen. Uh, he's already got one, you see.

Inquisitor: What?

Blackwall: He said they've already got one!

Inquisitor: Are you sure he's got one?

Varel: Oh yes, it's very nice!

I would guess that they let you first decide the bigger, more impact having choices, after which you can go deeper into different compartments of decisions. Or maybe even a map, where you can click upon the different locations of where choices were made, to change the default decisions to the ones you want. I doubt it will be checkbox after checkbox after checkbox x 300 :P

I hope it's incredibly detailed, I'll be disappointed if it only lets us alter the major choices.  Like others have said the little things matter too, in some ways they matter more because they help make the story all that more mine.  Nothing better than playing the game and randomly to be reminded of something you did/didn't do, it's half the fun.  I'm also wondering what they'll be doing for the character models for our Warden and Champion...default Hawke never looked anything like my Hawkes. >.<

Also question, I haven't kept up to date as much as I could have, has there been any word recently on actually importing saved game data from your actual previous games?  Or has that been completely thrown out the window for the Keep?

I think that would be awesome, actually I want more boxes.

Agreed^ I will check all the boxes in the world if it means my world is more personalized to me.

The little things may not matter even a little for the Inquisitor. Some choices may be mere blips which doesn't alter anything for DAI (if it never even gets mentioned) and it could also not matter for a future DA game. I really wouldn't want to see them add choices which they will never even address.

The character models for the Warden and Hawke don't have much to do with the Keep really. We know that there is no CC inside the Keep, so if we end up being able to change the appearance of those characters it would have to happen inside the game.

And as far as I know there hasn't been any news on the matter of imports. The last comment was about them still trying to make it work with the hint it may end up not happening. I am of the mind they will probably not get it to work at all.

Lot of negativity. Let the people make the choices they want. The keep is already done so this is all just speculation but bioware has gotten much better at imports when I compare DAO awakening or 2 to mass effect 3. Different studios I know but I am willing to give bioware benefit of doubt. If they did just did main quest choices there would only be 10 questions from DAO , 4 awakening and 10 questions da 2 with two variations each you would be at 48. Do I they have 300 I am sure some minor choices also make it in.
