Oh?So there's a chance if there's another game ,we may have again no direct import and have to recreate stuff?...
Just to know if I'll have to start writing things down when I play.

They've said that the Keep will update as you play inquisition.

What exactly are beta testers testing? If you can obtain people who have never played DA become beta testers without knowledge of previous decisions orchestrated throughout the franchise, then what exactly are they doing in keep?

Testing plot flags, trying to break it basically by mixing and matching the choices and see if it breaks a flag.  Also stress testing has started now I think

I also think the Keep explains the story of DAO/DA2.

From what I've understood it's possible if you've never played to understand what you're doing. There should be some context.

I've been thinking that its sort of an interactive... not a comic, but something along those lines with visual cues in the same style as the intro to Origins, Awakening, and the Act intros in DA2. I also theorize* the choices we put down have a sort of meta in game presence as that book from DA2's interrogation, the stories of the Warden and Hawke being put to paper by Leliana/Varric.

I think its mostly just me projecting my hopes and dreams, but that's the vision of the Keep I have stuck in my head.

I just wonder how long will it take to go through the whole process of creating a world state, setting 300 or so flags must take quite a bit. No complaints though, it looks like it's going to be a fun experience.

If you are logged into your account while playing it will update the Keep for your game that you are playing sort of like the old system did for your character profiles. It doesn't upload your save, but it does update the keep for future games.

I've had that thought myself! That book keeps showing up everywhere, it's gotta be important!

It really depends on how they are calculating the flags for an example in Dragon Age 2:

Q: Who did you romance?

A v1: This could take one flag for it is remember the person you romanced.

A v2: This could be four flags and one is for each possible romance in the game.

So it might be 300 questions, or it could be a smaller fraction of that number and we really won't know until we can use it ourselves or the NDA is lifted which probably will be at about the same time I would guess.

Hopefully, I'm very fond of the idea that our protagonist's tales end up all gathered in one place, in-universe.

Ummm, you might need to check your facts on that one.

They actually have said that it *might* do it.  Another thing we don't know b/c they haven't opened it up yet.

We beta test [REDACTED] and make sure [REDACTED] works.

For Hawke it'll definitely matter, since that chooses which sibling dies.  I don't know if the Warden's class will matter very much though.

It will, seeing as mage can only have one background

I wonder when B-Ware will give us the release date for the Keep.

I have a bad feeling that if B-Ware doesnt open The Keep up sooner than waiting 1 month before the game drops in Oct. I am worried the barrage of fans might crash it.

Maybe I am wrong but who knows. <_<

But why... I doubt the keep will even crash on day one (of it's launch, not of DAI), considering that only the people who are really 'hardcore' and keeping (no pun intended) up to track with all the news will really know about it. even if it does, you have will have (at least) and entire bloody month. I doubt the servers will like crash each day.

The ideas been mentioned that the keep will update if you play DAI while logged in, marking your progress.  I thought that was confirmed, but apparenlty its only something they said they were looking at.

It was confirmed really early on. When they first started telling us about the Keep. It was part of the share portion of the keep. Allowing us to share our stories with others.

What's sad is that I'm beta testing and even I'm unsure as to the veracity of this claim.

It seems reasonable that they'll do this someday. They already do quest tracking, so it's convenient to integrate that with the Keep. They'll need the Keep to handle DAI decisions for DA4 anyway. But I can see this being a fairly low-priority task at this time, since this functionality won't be particularly useful until DA4.

Until you have DAI installed it's conceptually impossible to test this, isn't it?

True. All I was saying is that, if I as a beta tester hadn't heard about this info specifically, you might wanna recheck your source for that claim. That being said, it's something that could have gone over my head entirely.
