Word of god (or at least word of David Gaider) is that all DLC events happened whether or not you played them. So Hawke went to a fancy Orlesian party and fought Corypheus whether the player did or not. I guess this also applies to Warden's Keep, Witch Hunt, etc.

Was it specifically that Hawke was involved in said events regardless if the player played the DLCs or merely that the events of the DLCs occurred regardless? Because those are two different things - if it's the latter, then I suspect that BW is going in the same direction as ME3 and how that game handled previous DLC (if they were never played, the events still occurred, but there were alterations to the plot and events without Shepard's involvement).
