These folks are reporting that there will be ability to import your saves from DAO/DA2 into DAI - is this true?  http://au.ibtimes.co...firmed-ways.htm

None of the Devs have confirmed that AT ALL.

I think the article is just poorly worded, because they clearly give a description of what the Keep does with no mention of importing old saves into the Keep itself.

The IB Times is notorious for making things up to get clicks, it's better not to regard them as a news source :P

Dragon Age Keep @DragonAgeKeep

Sadly, you can't import saves into the Keep.  :( But with over 300 choices to make, you can re-create your world pretty faithfully.

Which makes me question of WTF that guy over at the DA wiki who said he was testing the beta and who's only advice due to the NDA was "do not deleting your DAO/DA2 saves" for the Keep  unless that was just flat-out bullsh*t....

Lovely, now I have to go through and remember  and write down all the choices I made for my characters' world states....  <_<

(Did someone in this thread mentioned that they had put together a spreadsheet/database file for a character's DA choices?  I can't remember who it was, but if he/she still has that, I and am sure many others would love to have access to that file)

Or he meant don't delete your saves so you can go back through and remember what you did?

But ya I saw someone on another forum claim that the keep let you reconstruct the warden and Hawke and build them how you want again, yet devs have confirmed that's not true.

Hard to believe, (I know!) but we have trolls in this Community as well.  :o

They said in the FAQ that choices in DA:I will be added to Keep automatically if you're online. I wanna know tho if you lose connections temporarily while playing that either the Keep can see what you did while "off the grid" or give you a warning or something that you have to add whatever happened to the Keep manually.

I just don't wanna import a save later and have it missing some of my stressfully made decisions. Take it as preemptive feedback from a future Beta tester, fingers crossed.

You do reconstruct them just not the appearance. You will put in their race, sex, class, and all. It just doesn't have a Character Creator for the appearance.

I get disconnected while gaming frequently, so this would be a problem for me, too.

If you played Human Noble, your gender did determine whether you could marry Anora or Alistair and become royalty - as for the other origins, not so much as I recall (though it did change the opening origin story for the City Elf).

The Warden's gender also determined who could be romanced (as both Alistair and Morrigan were straight, while Leliana and Zevran were bi).

Since there are only a max of 5 world state that each player can save in the cloud, I was wondering if I will be able to print out my choices (or save as a text file) so that I can have a record of my old deleted world states ???

Pretty sure its a no to the text file, but I don't know if you can print the choices.  If its all one page then maybe a print screen grab type thing

could you not just remake those choices? i mean if you can't actually remember what choice you made it probably wasnt that important in the first place

Well, if you were to save your games, wouldn't you just be able to check your journal and make a note of which choices you made so you'd know which answers to check in the keep?

I know this wouldn't apply to anyone who have lost their saved games - but this could've been what the person meant.  Or maybe they were looking into it at one point, and found that it just wouldn't work.

Really?  I find that hard to believe.  A few lines of dialogue difference, and whether or not a particular Companion could be your LI.  But major story changes depending on Hawke's gender?  Not that I recall.

I find, for me at least, that I remember my core choices from three of my characters on DA:O and I'd wager as we're messing with Keep many things will start to resonate in peoples brains as we all sift through the catalog of choices. My concern is what matters in DA2 because I really don't feel like my choices mattered as much in that game let alone never really felt bonded with any of the characters. Perhaps I'm just another in the wave of DA2 haters out there but I hardly remember my choices from that game because it just didn't impact me emotionally like Origins did.

I'm in the same boat here.  Only choice I remember making (aside from the ending) was in regards to the elven kid who could enter people's dreams.  Sent him to Tevinter, rather than the Circle.  (wanted to make a deal with the demon but got locked out of that choice for reasons I still don't understand)

Everything else is all a blur.  All I really remember is trying to make a lot of choices, and them getting denied (Sebastian quest: told the demon I was interested in her offer.  Sebastian immediately shot her with an arrow, and I was forced to fight her.  After the fight he thanked me for not agreeing to the demon's deal.  -_-), or not amounting to anything.  Will probably have to completely redo all of my Hawke's choices.  I'm going to keep my Warden's choices as exact as I can, though.  :)

Since somebody actually asked for it, I present to you: THE SPREADSHEET! It's an Open Office file, and you can download it from MediaFire.

A word of warning: this does not cover everything, and what it does cover is based purely on guesswork. It only includes everything from DAO and Awakening that had an impact on DA2, plus stuff I thought would probably be important from DA2. (And also a column for Dagna, since we know she's going to be in Inquisition.) I am not in the Keep beta and know no more about which decisions are in there than any other sad panda.

However, I guess it will give people something to build on if they want to. I left the data about my various Wardens and Hawkes in there to help jog people's memories about the possibilities. With eight different world states, it includes most things.

(Things do not include: various combinations of outcomes for Alistair, like the Warden becoming his mistress. Zevran turning on the Warden or leaving after the encounter with Taleisin. Fenris leaving during Act II or being killed in the endgame.)

Right.  All that is my understanding as well.  I just want Fernando (or some BioWare Staff member) to confirm it as correct

Your understanding is correct :)

Yes, the idea is that the Keep updates when it can to reflect what you are currently or have just been playing.

I want to know what will happen if I make a choice, reload a save, and then make a different choice.

As per last response, if you are online you should see the latest choice reflected at next update.

If we can make five different world states, which one updates with DA:I progress?  All of them?  Just the "active" one?  As an example: If i start the game with state A, and switch to B because I don't need A to be the "primary", does my progress in the game update on the A or B world state?

Finally, if it is following the state you chose initially, rather than just following the one chosen for upload, what happens if you delete said world state while playing the game?
