DAII didn't require Origin. You didn't have to register your game with your account, if you didn't want to. That's why I'm asking.
And btw I am a PC player, so if it would be PC only, I would still have the problem.

a code of some sort in the disc case that allows access to the game and can only be used on one account perhaps
See, they had this with the console version of 2. You put the code into social.bioware.com, and then you had to log into your Origin account, through the game, in order to get the special stuff(for everything that wasn't officially DLC, i mean)... Same with the "free" stuff they gave away for playing the demo and all that...
But this doesn't make your game account based, it just means you had to log into an Origin account if you wanted anything "special" with your game...

I'm just saying Origin is a PC only program. It's not on the consoles or anything. But console players still need an origin account if they want to import a keep file into Inquisition(or allow Bioware to track progress as they play). Since EA seams to want players to play their games through an Origin account(that's why most of the "free" goodies are tied to them), I'd fully expect them to have PC players be required have Origin.
Back in June, or may they said that the (pc version) game requires a one time online authentication with origins, after that you can play offline.
What this discussion has to do with the keep tho, i dont know

Origin has an offline mode. Even if the game doesn't need internet access after the one-time authentication, it can still require Origin to be running. Just that Origin doesn't necessitate an internet connection to greenlight the game's boot up sequence.

My question is, if my husband can play MY game (that's registered and running through MY origin account) and connect in-game to the Keep with HIS origin account.

As far as we know right now: No. He will have to have his own copy of the game registered to his Origin account and log-in into this account. But as of now, this is pure speculation and since no relevant questions are answered by BioWare, it seems we will have to live with that until release...
Well I hope that won't be the case, but if it is, he will make his world state in my Keep-account. Since he will only play once, we can't justify to buy two copys.
Seems you already have a solution.Well I hope that won't be the case, but if it is, he will make his world state in my Keep-account. Since he will only play once, we can't justify to buy two copys.
It may be a solution, but an inconvenient one for me. I don't like it when he unlocks my achievements and if he is logged in to my account he may do so.
Seeing as he will be playing the game on your account. I assume that would happen (like with Me3)seeing as those are done via the client.
So I noticed it says we will NOT be able to customize our Warden/Hawke, but does that matter to Inquisition? Because, I have to admit... if say my Warden was a red-head Cousland with green eyes, I would be quite disappointed if she showed up in game and Oh look she's got black hair and brown eyes. Same with our Hawkes...
So, even though I'm not (yet) in beta, and if you don't want to actually give spoilers by answering this question, I understand... but I just want to say that if the Warden and/or Hawke end up appearing in DAI, please let us in some way customize them, even if it's just simple choices like...
Warden Hair
Blonde Red Black
Warden Hairstyle
Long Medium Short
Warden Eyes
Blue Green Brown
etc.
No. It means that the game will always ask the same thing. The game just says to the Keep "give me the thing." It doesnt really care what it is. The Keep site is what determines what "the thing" is. So we could suddenly allow a billion states and we won't have to make sure "does the game properly support this." It only ever asks for the thing.
Yeah, I agree a KISS approach is best. So, to change what world state is imported you go to the website, so that the game has only two options "Default" or "Imported" that way no need to ever patch the game(s) and go through all the approval processes for patches with Microsoft/Sony etc.

this is a perfect example of you cannot make everyone happy.

If that's the case, and I honestly hope it isn't, it'd be one way consoles can be better than PCs... My family will be able to play Inquisition on their own profiles, without any issues, assuming they ever wanted to...

I'd be surprised if you can't simply log out of one account and into a second account at any time you want inside the game's settings. That's the way that DAO and DA2 was setup on both PC and consoles, and I see no reason to assume that it would be different this time around with DAI.

That's a possibility, and worth trying, but Origin didn't exist for the first two games - you had to log in separately in the game for those. It is possible that signing into Origin and then starting DAI might lock you into the Origin account the game is linked to and not allow you to change to another in-game. I guess we won't know till the game comes out, unless someone pesters the appropriate persons for information. And it might be different for PC versus consoles too.

I don't have two accounts (and don't want to make another to test it) but I'd imagine you can find out how it works by looking at Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 3 has a double login setup for you need to log in twice once with Origin and then inside of the game which there were a lot of complaints about especially if people wanted to play offline. My belief is that that double login is because the game is using a lot of existing code from Mass Effect 2 and Origin wasn't guaranteed to be existing when that part of the development was done.
Now if you look at Dead Space 3 they didn't have a login within the game itself it was purely done with Origin where previous games had a login inside of the game to connect to the EA Servers.
YupSo 300 things from d.a o and d.a 2 story

Correct, but the way I am thinking it that its not 300 choices, but 300 flags so each outcome they are flagging will count as a different choice. For example the final choice with Dragon Age: Origins will count as 4 of those 300 flags one each for Alistair, Loghain, Ultimate Sacrifice, and Old God Baby. Of course this is purely my guessing, but I have been taking the under expecting train of thought this time around.
but in the two dragon age gams that are a out now have more then 300 choices

Most of the side quests probably won't be included. The DA2 import only had eighteen choices included, so we should get more than that. (Although how many will be mentioned in DAI is an open question.)

I believe they said it was 300+ actual questions. I've also seen at least one twitter reaction from someone who had just been accepted into the keep saying something along the lines of 'wow, Bioware really accounted for everything here'. I doubt that would've been the reaction if it was just 300 permutations they were talking about. 300 permutations would likely be filled up pretty fast, IMO.
Edit: Even if I'm wrong, I'd still be rather hyped.
Nothing wrong with not getting your hopes up, especially since we've seen so little of this. Personally feel like we won't have too much to worry about with the keep, though, given what little response we've seen from beta testers has been along the lines of "it's great. you'll see." ![]()
