If that's the case, and I honestly hope it isn't, it'd be one way consoles can be better than PCs...  My family will be able to play Inquisition on their own profiles, without any issues, assuming they ever wanted to...

If everyone wants to purchase their own DLC, sure that is a way. But rest assured that your DLC we be bound to your Origin-Account in which you will have to log-in from the game menu.

Based on the answers provided by Devs in this thread, I'm still not sure how will Keep's "update current worldstate" work with several special situations, like:

1. I create a new game, importing data from the Keep, play some (thus Keep State gets updated), then my internet connection goes out, but I don't notice and continue playing. I save game and close it and see no internet connection. Sometime later internet connection goes on again, I boot up the game and load save. Will Keep State batch-update with everything I did when I played with no internet connection? Or will it start updating from the moment I resume playing connected, thus "missing" stuff I did while offline?

2. I create a new game, importing data from the Keep, play some (thus Keep State gets updated), then create another new game importing the same state from the Keep, and continue playing this second game. Will updates to Keep State from second game overwrite those made from first game? What if I play second game for less events happening than first game, and then return to first game and continue, will Keep State has a mixture of events from first and second game?

1.: Why would the Keep miss something? Come on people, it's not like ten years back where stuff like this was something new and weird and nobody knew how to properly plan for those cases...

2.: We don't know yet. However, the most logical thing to do would be (as I mentioned several times before) that if you have multiple ongoing gameplays you can choose the character to look at in the Keep (just like you did with the online profile for your DAO characters) and thus only this characters progress is displayed on screen. You can then go back to the overview and choose a different character to look at..

Unless they included the character creator in the Keep you will probably rarely use it besides creating different world templates for new walkthroughs. How often did anyone here use the ME3 companion app to look at the "Messages" your crew sent you?

Not True! Dlc's are purchased by a single account on your console, not through your Origin account. All logins that are on one console share all purchases unless the login that purchased them is taken off the console. Both the PS3 and PS4 work this way. I'm not sure about xbox 360 and xb one, but I'm sure they work the same way as well.

That's still true.  The 360, I'd purchase DLC on my account and my husband could play on his account that DID NOT have XboxLive (no internet).

For XBOne all the accounts are under one XboxLive account, so I don't see why this would be any different.

1. This.  Especially considering the devs have said countless times you can play offline however much you want after downloading the gamestate from the Keep.  This isn't going to be something where we'll require a constant connection.  It will batch update when it gets a chance.

2. Well, the character profiles on the original Dragon Age Origins page update independently of one another.  I really don't see why the Keep would be any different from this.

I figured that. That is why I said It probably worked the same. Mirdarion said console useers were going to have to purchase dlc for each person on the console. I was telling him that no it didn't work that way.

So, I still want to know if anyone has found out or if a dev can tell us, how will the pre-order content be handled? Will it be tied to our Origin account, or merely the platform account?  Cause while buying the DLC more than once would suck, I accept that but to be unable to EVER get the pre-order content because I changed my mind about what platform I want to play on a year later...

I have that problem with Lollipop Chainsaw. I originally bought it on the Xbox 360 but decided to sell my Xbox and get a PS3 instead, so now... because they aren't' selling the pre-order content, I will never have it on the PS3 (unless I get a suspect code from like Ebay or something), just the base game.

Now, Lollipop Chainsaw doesn't have a company account, so there is no way to tie the pre-order content together, but with Origin there is.  So, I hope EA can see it to use Origin for the good of us all, and let us tie at the very least the Pre-Order content to our Origin accounts.

Make a seperate thread about it and see if you get a response.

Dragon Age Keep @DragonAgeKeep

#dragonagekeep beta invites are going out today, so check your inbox! For the sad pandas-there's always next time!

More invites have gone out, so it's time to check in boxes.

(And then time to come sit with me while I sigh sadly and wish I had a time machine so I could go back and write a better application ...)

Still a sad panda here too. :(

I have Xbox One and I can reassure you guys then whenever I have downloaded something from the online store on my name, the game was also available to my boyfriend when he logged in as well. So I'm sure DLCs will be the same way. :)

They're picking people based on lots of criteria (like balancing hardcore DA players with newbies) and a fair amount of randomness, unless someone's actually gone through and read tens of thousands of applications.

I don't think anyone should take not being accepted as an insult to their status as a fan. Even at this point they've only accepted single-digit percentages of all the people who applied, probably less than 10%.
