Have a look at this thread: http://forum.bioware...-qa/?p=17226150
I don't think it matters that much because Brian Mills wrote
Selecting a hero in the Keep sets the race, class, and Origin of your Hawke/Warden. Having your own custom heroes lets you also show the portrait, name, and other data specific to them.
Having a (e.g.) Mage or Male Dwarf Noble may allow some specific tiles to be chosen in the Keep without causing a conflict, but it would not matter for importing purposes whether it was a custom hero or a default one. One of the goals of the Keep is that you can import a world state you may not have played yourself in DA:O or DA2, so custom and default heroes are treated equally in that respect.

I think these are the most important quotes to be had on the subject.
The op really needs to be edited to include some of these. Or we need a new thread to start over with
Syncing of achievements and heroes does not need the save on your local machine. Allowing you to change between Xbox 360 / PS3 / PC / PS4 / Xbox One between Dragon Games is one of the major reasons we are doing the Keep the way we are.
It also seems that some people think we are syncing savegame data for your heroes, based on the videos; there's not been any change for that since the most recent FAQ, and we still don't have any direct importing of savegame plot data. You'll have to customize your world state whether your heroes are imported or not, unless you are happy with whatever the default is. What you can do is select which hero is in your world state, vs. the world state for your hero.
This is generally correct. having your gamertags linked and characters showing on the BSN will help if you want to be able to select "your" hero, including their class and portrait, as well as being able to see all of the achievements and other unlocks you have earned. Whether your hero exists in the Keep or not does not directly affect how your world state is populated - that is all done by choices you make in the Keep, starting on first login.

This is also a good quote to bring back to this thread:
This will need to be done whether your heroes are present on the BSN or not. Having your heroes uploaded will allow you to select them in the Keep, but there is no direct importing of savegame plot data at this time. Choices will need to be set by either using the interactive movie, accepting the defaults, or selecting them yourself in the Tapestry.
From here.
I'd say these should be probably be pasted in the OP, but nobody reads the OP anyway. ![]()

Drat. Was looking at Mr Fernando Melo's first picture of his drink, but then missed the second with the code.

I can't see reading character level, class and other easily accessible info (since world state won't be imported) in a savegame file system they created being hard. There are probably save editors out there that can do just that.
Actually there aren't any editors out there that I know of that can parse a Dragon Age franchise save the same was as a Mass Effect franchise save, there is a generator for importing to Dragon Age 2, but with Origins all there is the editor BioWare made, but it can be confusing too.
The real issue isn't parsing the files, but gaining access to the files and if the files still exist for both Microsoft and Sony have rules in place for how developers can and cannot access player's files.

After a lot of crap, I finally got my DA2 characters and Achievements to show up under my Profile..... finally, lol.
Also tried again with DAO, but was only able to get my Achievements to show up, but none of my characters are appearing
am wondering if it's perhaps because I'm using a save from Witch Hunt instead of a DAO/DAA save or possibly because my play progression was DAO, DAA, Golems of Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt and somehow Golems of Amgarrak is f***ing up the character save for Witch Hunt somehow that prevents it from loading into my Profile.

It can take forever for your full character information to upload, but you can check to see if your files were uploaded by going to the "Profile Diagnostics" to see if your files are uploading and the fault is within converting it to the web page format.

If your DA2 information is showing up but your DAO stuff (other than achievements) is not, you've run into the same issue the rest of us have: DA2 registered first with the BSN when you merged your BSN with your Origin account, and it created a persona name too long for the DAO profile manager to parse. The only way to fix this is to shorten the DA2 persona. It can't be fixed on your end, but won't be fixed on their end either - I've been trying to get that fixed since 2012, when they would edit the manually personas for players on request, but since then support for this bug has been dropped and EA Support and BSN staff just keep sending me back and forth between each other, and no one will actually do anything about it.
Sorry, looks like you're stuck with a broken profile like the rest of us. Have some commiseration cookies.

Yes that was definitely a choice. I remember struggeling, because I play always in english and I wanted the keep to be in english for me, but I wasn't sure if it's ok, that country and language don't match
If I only bought DAO DA2 recently and didn't get all the dlcs, according to the video, will I be able to have a full access to the keep?

There is still no save importing at all, you will always have to recreate your world state regardless of having BSN-synced characters or not. Read the last couple of pages, Brian just came here to confirm this a few hours ago.

What choices will be reflected?
We don't know much about that yet, but it will definetly be a lot of choices. Cameron Lee said, there will be 300+ choices in the Keep.
It will contain all choices from Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Awaikening, Dragon Age 2 and all DLCs, no matter if you have bought and/or played them.
If you leave some choices uncecked, they will be filled with a default decision. That goes for DLCs aswell, everthing has happend, one way or another.
So...is this about no matter what if I bought those dlcs or not I can just have all those choice in the keep? ![]()

Yeah has anyone got a solution to this? Been searching for one all day, found nothing, just get 'Error Code 1000' every time I try to check. I know that I could recreate my warden in the Keep, but I'd like to import my portrait/character class.

Yeah, am fearing perhaps that this is what's happening in my case, since none of my characters are syncing to my profile no matter how many times I log DAO online and do a character save/s to try and load the character online..... ![]()
Again, it sounds like we'll be able to recreate all the choices in the Keep without worrying about character syncs, but I'd still prefer to have the original character profile pics for their Keep profiles (unless there's an option in the Keep to upload your own pics for a Warden's worldstate, in which case to hell with trying to get this online BSN profile crap to work, lol)

Seems likely I'm in the same situation. I'll try the EA help thing but having spent this afternoon investigating the situation I have very little hope.

Well there no cc in the keep and DA:I is a new engine so aside from distinguishing in the keep between them there's not much point to it
No no, I'm not talking about a character creator - I'm talking about the DAO character profile pics (which are just bmp images created by the game during DAO character creation), which are synced up on your BSN/Origin Profile when you import your characters online. It was shown in the Keep video that these images are used for any characters that syncs from your Profile onto the Keep, just as kind "identity photos" for each Warden profile you create in the Keep.

Gonna mess around with it so much when I can, there are some side quests I may have missed so... Gonna start fresh with the keep.
