To be clear: "appearance" here means "the image file that has the Warden/Hawke's portrait from those games". It does not mean "a face code".

While this is a great idea in theory, i think its gonna cause more issues than it will resolve. you have people who can't get their PC;s to upload, PC's that look different from what you have in game and other issues along this line. But if they can iron out the sync issues then yay this will be awesome.

If it is just the portrait like i had previously assumed before seeing the tweet, then no hassle. But the tweet really does confuse matters more tbh.

We're better off not making any assumptions about this appearance import thing until they clarify it after PAX, as promised in the last tweet. Brian just said here two days ago that the Keep doesn't import appearances from your BSN profiles, now the twitter is saying it imports appearances from your Origin account (does that even make sense?).... there's a lot of misinformation/miscommunication going around. We'd better sit on this and wait for a clearer explanation.

The only way it does make sense is if "appearance" means "the portrait image file" (and not a Chargen face morph), because those are in your Origin/BSN account.

I traded my Physical Copies of Dragon Age being my PS3 Games since they are No Longer Relevant & Matter, since no Normal Direct Import being like Previous games or how Mass Effect Trilogy did. Leave it to New Consoles to Screw Up Everything, PS3-360 should have had Normal Import I can understand on PS4, X1, PC but on PS3-360 they should have LEFT IT ALONE.
 
I also Deleted my Saves & I also Deleted my DLC from my PS3, & I will probably play Inquisition DEFAULT like My Friend is. Since I still do not Understand How DK APP will Upload Into my PS3 or how it Imports Keep Choices into PS3 INQUISITION.
 
I do have an Origins Account but Still for me DK APP is still Confusing & I have seen the Q & A & The Video even I am more than confused than ever. So I am Skipping DK APP, but I will do my DELUXE DLC Add Ons.
 
I got about 40 Something from my Dragon Age Games, but my DLC is a Waist since you can not get Money from DLC. So I guess I just waisted about 60 Dollars on DLC.

You're right. I totally agree. They should have just kept it simple and made DAI next gen only and eliminated the xbox 360 and ps3 versions. Simple!

I take it you're new to the Keep thread?  If not, then how do you not realize that no matter what you say to him, he comes back with the same posts.  Every post he's made has been about how confusing the Keep is, how he can't import it, how he doesn't understand, some vague references of friends this and that, then some other game mentions thrown in for good measure.

Perhaps they should have made it PC, Xbone, and PS4 only?  That would have been more simple I assume.  I do not understand what about the keep is so difficult for people to understand.  You log into the website, you make your choices (they give you some tips about some events in the game if you forgot), when you start DA:I on your console you make sure you are connected to the internet, you log into origin on your console and BAM it uploads.  How is this rocket science for the user?

Well, apparently there is no longer a need for careful participant selection when they are giving away low-res codes to anyone who follows them on Twitter or whatever and is the quickest.

You'd think they'd grant access to other people too, like say those that registered for the beta on the same day it was announced. But nope ...

 

Can't say I'm impressed with their peculiar distribution philosophy.

 

 

Seems like I will have to wait for the official public launch to finally get my hands on it.

The people who have gotten in weren't based upon when they applied though, even before the code give-a-ways.  It was based upon what you filled out and if you fulfill a role as a tester

So Justin, our resident dev stalker dropped by at /r/dragonage to clarify the "appearance" thing:

 

There is Information on BSN that we can get if you have linked your accounts properly up with origin.

 

The character model is not something we could extract.

 

Separate from that we have access to a tiny picture which is the characters headshot from the game.

 

In summary we can get the headshot picture, the name, and the class/race/gender of the hero.

 

So "appearance" still means your little character portrait, not a full face code import.
