I don't think so, If it did we wouldn't be having a heated but civil discussion, Thankfully this is just a matter a disagreement over a feature being a great thing with possibly poor implementation,
Whats so bad about having an origin account? You already have one to log into the forums.
Sure they've had a year to test it. A year in which features were slowly added. However a year of testing is nothing compared to what will happen when everyone gets into access to it finding every single possible bug that is not possible even with a dedicated team of testers.
It makes sense for it to be a website if its going to be used for future games
You are assuming that the majority of customers are like us and actually follow the news about the games, they don't, they learn the release date watch a few trailers and and then buy it, How long were details about DA 2 out? and yet it's still taking heat, This is a simple matter of a bad call, one with a rather worrisome potential to rile up the more angry parts of the fanbase, I don't like unnecessary risks, i don't want this decision getting everyone still bitter over the ME3 ending into a rage and hurting BioWare's future budgets, Jade Empire 2 may be riding on this game doing well, So forgive me for wanting them to not make any major slip ups,
Anyone who has read any article on DAI has heard about the Keep. I don't think the majority of people are on the BSN, but reading articles about a game they might drop a hefty sum of money on? Yeah, I think people at least do that casually. Plenty of posts about it on the DA Facebook page have gone up. Now there are Youtube Videos. It's not some kind of secret, and again, if they don't know about it now I still disagree with the amount of people you feel will have a problem with it.
I really don't see the point in getting bent out of shape about something that 'could maybe sometime happen' down the road. And I'm confident that the developers took into account people's reactions when choosing this method of save game implementation, including how it would go over after the other debacles Bioware has been through.

I don't believe so, no. I don't know if there is a one time authentication connection or not, but you can definitely play with zero connectivity aside from there *possibly* being that. I feel like when this was asked previously it was stated consoles will not need to connect at all though.

The only time only time you need to connect on console is if you wish to download from the keep. after that you can go offline for the remainder of the game.

Cool. That's what I was leaning towards.
What will we do when the keep is released? There will be no more questions to answer ![]()
I'm just saying, They have a powder keg, It's a little damp but still volatile, I don't want to have to listen to that, You think i'm annoying? Imagine me times 1000 making death threats and calling everyone names, that is what is at stake here, months or even years of flame wars every time you go to watch a Let's play or talk about it in a forum, I see no reason to take a risk that can be averted easily,
ok? ...
ok? ...
That was meant for the other person, quotes got messed up,

I really don't see people raging over this... or calling in death threats....
I assume that you are a game developer and and therefore relate to how easily they could have implemented the Keep onto discs?
If DLCs on PC requires a connection isn't known or has never been answered by the developers.
It'd be kind if surprising if the DLCs didn't require one-time activation too, since that's the current system.
Yeah, 'cos Mass Effect 3 does it the wrong way.
I have a PC, I am lucky to have received it as a gift, Others may not be so lucky, Others may have spent their entire annual entertainment budget buying a game that at present,

Firstly dang is that a cute baby orangutan!
Secondly Because this is a nice cooperate forum, I spend most of my time on other forums, Do you not remember what it was like when the ending became well known? it was annoying as heck, even for those of us on the side of wanting change it's a headache i don't need repeated, it's a pile of memes i don't need clogging my image search, it's a angry joe review i don't want to see it's a Jimquistion that will be delaying him calling people i don't like idiots, It's an episode of Extra credits about how not to innovate,
I want to chill and enjoy the game then chat about it in good spirits, in places that don't have to have mods delete every third post.

Just to be clear, you're worried about DAI players not having access to the internet at all, on any device whatsoever? How many of those would there be?
It's a little more realistic to worry about players who don't have their consoles connected and can't get tethering to work.
You had to ask that question didn't you? You know that's the sounding call to bring you know who back
I have random bouts of the dramas, i blame it on me for not reading that and saying this is silly, and changing it,

I don't even know how you're equating ME3 endings with how the Keep has been implemented. It doesn't even make logical sense. The only connection you're attempting to make is that unhappy people rage on the internet, but there's no way in gods all hell that the Keep is going to garner the kind of attention that ME3's ending did.
People will always find a reason to complain about anything - but the fact that there's been very little complaint on the Keep from the time that we've known about it should tell you something. Hell, a possible achievements list has leaked which supposedly gives away huge plot points and that's not even being raged over across the internet.

There are still folks complaining about the endings, and if BioWare gives them anything substantial they could round up another big protest, Which will hurt my chances of getting more of the games i want, the infrastructure for the backlash is already in place anything that gets a good number peeved could mean EA breathing down BioWare's necks to be more mass appealing, Imagine having the main Character of Jade Empire 2 be white, sure it's a worse case scenario, but it's a scenario that could be made to not even be possible with one little change, I simply can't believe a good enough reason exists to not have both options or at least a middle ground, when the benefit is removing a pitfall that could be disastrous.

You do realize that the statistical amount of people that would want an offline option is very small compared to the amount of people that wont care about it being online because they will be able to use it. Bioware already looked at the situation and found it more cost effective to do the keep online only. An offline option would create more problems than solutions.
