I love this idea. I just hope it works better then the save importing.

@clone wars: It should be still open. I don't think they are going to start picking testers until next year.

I look on website  but I can not see the sign up for it!

Go here. https://dragonagekeep.com/

It should have Apply for beta and read the FAQ's. Or, at least it does for me.

I can not see Apply for beta I can see read the FAQ's but can not look at FAQ's

Does the Keep have EVERYTHING, down to every side quest? 'Cause that'd be awesome.

No idea, but I'm led to believe that it's more in depth than ME's genesis comic.

Clone Wars,I managed to sign up using Chrome, Explorer just shows the main page with no sign up information for me. With Chrome the sign up button is there with no problems.

I think its going to be more in-depth since they cant make the importing saves work properly from what I understand. With Mass Effect series it was only that way because comics were just ment to be the lazy option to replaying the whole series. This is the only option for DAI it seems because they cant make the import from current gen to next gen consoles actually work from what I know and understand.

Brilliant news. Would have loved this feature in ME3, as well.

Well done, BioWare.

AMAZING! This was my top request for DA:I. So very thankful and excited. I think I will be able to convince many other people to give the game a shot due to having this feature as well!

Great news. I'm so glad that I have written down all my choices :D Yeah, I'm strange. Did it for Mass Effect too.

Well, guess I'm strange with you. I have a record of all my characters, who they romanced (if any), the main choices and which DAO I imported into which DA2. I even noted which mods I used with which game and a copy of their portrait with the game description. Let's hear it for strange, Ha Ha . . . .

[edit] Anyway, I think this is a good idea. I hope that we will also be able to upload a save from Origins or 2 and then tweak it for errors (or just for fun). I also hope we are able to create and maintain multiple imports.

Some have said they would like to see this used for DA2, which would be nice but not a huge priority as far as I'm concerned.

It would be nice to create a new base which includes some decisions which I would have a hard time playing out (such as handing Fenris over to Danarius). Even when his anti-mage rants annoyed me I could never do that.

My question is this.

The Keep will be able to upload our save game so for those who kept em don't have to start from a complete blank sheet.

Because there isn't a single chance in hell i'll remember every single stat or choice from DAO

This was one of my concerns as well, also being able to look for errors in your world state and correct them would be extremely helpful.

Haha, ok, thanks!

But we will be able to create our own "saves" at some point in 2014, before the release of DA:I ? So by the time A:I is released, we have everything ready and good to go?

The Keep will be available to everyone a few months before DAI gets released, in order to give fans plenty of time to experiment with scenarios and make their history exactly how they want.

Good beta testing is important - it helps minimise bugs, inconsistencies and inaccuracies in th final product and allows the testers to give their impression of the program/software as a whole. An overall negative impression could lead to the product being changed to become more satisfactory, while a positive impression lets the devs know they're on the right track. Plus it's fun to have a look at and a play with something before it's rolled out for everyone :)

Thats understandable. And the fans get a chance to helt BW.  I like that. Thank  you for the explanation. :)

I wonder if the Keep can/will have both pre- and post-game integration. So, when you finish your playthrough, it uploads another worldstate to the Keep, adding your inquisition exploits onto the worldstate you originally imported. So it seamlessly primes the transition to any post-game DLC, expansions, or future games.

Back in my day, we used to walk 12 miles in Activision/Blizzard© every morning just to get to school, and then instead of commiting some incredibly lazy talk about this link - bs, we'd make OPs that actually have some goddamned content, thusly justifying the thread existing. /grumpy.
