No Keep invite here, but honestly didn't expect any, nor did I get any of the beta codes when they were being given out.

On the plus side, I can finally upload my DAO characters to my BSN/Origin Profile (and I honestly have no idea why it's allowing me to finally after all this time, lol).

Where do you upload them at?

You don't really "upload" them, so much as the game uploads the data for you. In both DAO and DA2 there are options for online connectivity where you can select whether or not to upload game data. You will need to be logged in to your Origin/EA account.

Now, there are some issues.

1 Because of the migration to these new forums there isn't really a way to get to the old Legacy BSN (LBSN) site other than by clicking the link for your Online Profile in the Dragon Age: Origins menu. You may also try this link which may enable you to log in to the LBSN site. You can use the information here to put profile links under your BSN avatar (you can see these under my own) on the BSN profile page.

2 For DAO in particular it takes a while for the data to be updated. I suggest you load up some saves, hang out for a minute, and then do a Quick Save.

3 There are still synching issues between DAO and the BSN; DA2 is a bit better. It may take a while for information to show up on the LBSN.

I'm sure putting the Keep on an entirely separate disc is costly. Frankly, it's not worth the cost for the few people who can't connect to the internet.

Furthermore, even if the Keep was included on a separate disc from the DAI play disc, BioWare would still have the hassle of going through Microsoft and Sony QA to patch any issues with the Keep - just like patching the game proper.

Thanks nightscrawl! It looks to me like my characters are all there already, even a few that I thought that I deleted, lol. Not all of them that I deleted are on there though, so I don't know how that works, lol. I really hope the character limit is higher in Inquisition.

If invites went out, I didn't get one, thus, I am still a SAD PANDA. But I got a birthday greeting from Xbox Live, even though my B-Day isn't till the 26th, lol. Technically, I'm a Christmas Baby! Count back nine months and one day from Sept 26, hehehehe.

Wait. Do I HAVE to link the characters from the old BSN site to this one? Cuz I don't understand how to do that, lol.

No you dont.. If they are on the legacy site you should be good to go for when the keep opens or if you get an invite.

It's actually quite easy to get there.. Click the legacy link on the bottom of every page on the forum, then click your user name on the top right corner and you are in.

This may of been asked already but what about us with DAO Ultimate Edition on home consoles, yes my account is linked to BSN and my warden and hawke upload just fine but for DAO since we don't have to purchase the DLC since its all on disc will the keep still recognize that we played the DLC?

So what is the use of getting into the beta at this stage?

I mean, pictures, video and detailed information has already been released about the Keep at PAX, so the idea of getting into the beta to learn "secret" information is pretty much dull at this point. Second, does your beta world states transfer over to the final product? What would be the use of creating world states in the beta if you only had to go back and redo them over again for the final product? Lastly, the full release is just around the corner. It isn't like back in February where we were like 7 months away. I mean, if DAI releases mid November and Bioware said that the Keep would be release about a month before the game, then we have about a month until we get to play the Keep. Which means that it isn't life or death to get into the Keep beta anymore.

To me, the want of getting into the beta has worn off.

The Keep doesn't filter the choices available to you by which DLC you own. You always have access to all choices, and you're free to make choices for DLCs you've never played if you want to. Say, as a hipothetical example, if you never played Exiled Prince but wanted to keep all characters who could possibly make a cameo in DAI alive just to be sure, you could just tell the Keep you recruited Sebastian and that's gonna be true for your world state, no purchase checks needed.

I get that but I was mostly talking about when you sync up DAO and DA 2

It should be fine since it's in your save file and like they said, even if it's not for whatever reason, you should be able to fine tune it and add it in. That's just my speculation because I am still a member of the Sad Panda Club.

What exactly are you wanting to know?

I thought ninetozero answered you pretty well, but you don't seem to think that answered your question. lol

Ok I read and re-read your question a few times and I think you're asking if the Keep will recognize that you played the DLC from your BSN-synched characters? Then no, because synching your character does not import a savegame/story progression/plot choices/anything like a full save. Synching only pulls your characters' most basic information; name, class, the tiny little portrait, nothing else in terms of what you did in a playthrough. You'll still have to pick all your plot choices and rebuild your world state from scratch at the Keep, DLC choices included, whether you synch your characters or not.

Non-hypothetically, if you met Lelianna in DA 2 Act 3, then Sebastian has joined your party.  And you don't need to have done his first 2 Quests, either.

It was announced all the existing codes got in today, but mine's not working. Anyone else?
