There are a lot of us that would love codes, me included, so hopefully someone will hand a few out to us.

I always felt I understood your logic of controlling beta access:  small groups with specific profiles to align with testing needs, however with the beta codes you gave away last month and now the friends of friends access, clearly you are just ramping up volume. 

 

Yet, you are forgetting the faithful who signed up a long time ago.   Tell me I'm wrong and you will be sending out more invites to those are registered.

I've pretty much accepted that I'm not going to be able to use the keep until its official launch.

Still not a completely bad thing I suppose as now I can refresh my memory of what I did in Origins by playing it again.

So last night I had a dream at how cool the Keep will be I hope it lives up to my hype ! LoL Just thought I would share that here seemed nice ahh well , lets get back to answering the same two to three questions over and over !

My mother always told me I should make friends with people I don't know just in case they suddenly get the ability to invite me into the Dragon Age Keep Beta. I was always like, "Yeah, Mom, whatever. Those are nonsense words. I'll come visit you again next weekend." I guess I should probably go check her out of the home now. She's going to be maaaaaaad...

this 'not able to import' past saves just allowed people to retcon and re-do their choices. Although we all should be given second chances, in life, you have to live with your choice. I think that is why u always have to think carefully when making a choice in bioware games (or in life for that matter) because it may have a serious repercussion in your future games (or future life).

 

This able to choose just make it less engaging. I mean if i found out that i make a wrong choice, i can easily choose again and that's it. in the past, u may have to replay the DAO and DA2 just to retcon a wrong choice. it makes that choice more personal.

 

oh well.. just my two cents. hope they allowed us to import one day.

You have to replay through DAO to change your choices? Since when? As I recall the save import generator for making DAO saves to import into DA2 (which imported better than genuine DAO saves) was made extremely early on for DA2. Actually if memory serves right, that might have been released in between the DA2 demo's release and DA2's release. Plus for DAO, the toolkit they released for PC made it extremely easy to mess with your flags if you wanted to. DA2 was slightly less editable, but I guarantee you the tools would exist for editing DA2 save if DAI took those saves. And fun fact of all of that, the people who modify their saves from DAO have a more accurate import than those genuinely imported their world state due to various bugs.

 

The option of changing your import flags has always existed. If you feel changing the flags ruins the experience, then don't change them. The options always has been there, and it will always remain because people like to mess around with their saves and variables. Hell if I do a second DAI run, I think I might try to screw around with my save to create some impossible world states.
