Anyway Non-keepers: What do you hope to see in the keep? (alas I cant participate as anything I say is spoilers)

So, I've been lurking this thread for a while now and I just stopped lurking recently to try and get a Keep Code...
I'm no longer a member of the (silent) Sad Pandas!
Congrats to everyone else!! The other thread to gets the invites worked for me, so I just thought about recommending it here.
Cheers!
Hello! Nice for you to come out of lurking and welcome.
Hmm I seeXD
I finally managed to get into the Keep forums... on the PS3 browser of all things! Not sure if it was just the passage of time or I needed to clear cache or something. Anyway, I'm good now. Good luck to those who aren't Keepers yet.
Let's keep it on topic: What are you looking to get out of the keep? Are you using it to say you did things that lack of skill points stopped you from or you just forgot and too late to go back. Or will you be using it to craft an entirely new world without needing to replay the game?
Depending on whether I can import my wardens I have two playthroughs planned but one of them I can't do since I suck at playing evil characters, I hope with the keep that I'll be able to make my evil dwarf nobleXD I also have others I'd like to import into this world. Outside of that I also hope to make the ties and fix some things I might have missed and are hopefully in the keep itselfXD
I have the keep now but i'll need to wait until I can access it, so for right now I can only assume what i'll seeXD

I think both, tbh.
I'm playing my own cannon world to start.. basically my first play through, whatever happens, happens.. So, I will try to recreate those worlds to the best of my memory.
Beyond that I have two states that I really enjoy, which mostly carry over a theme.. A Pro-Mage Warden/Hawke and Anti-Mage Warden/Hawke. They are pretty much opposite states, even when siding with Elves/Werewolves, Bhelen/Horrowmount, etc. I have a couple of worlds I want to play (will play?) but with the Keep I can play them outright rather than waiting to finish DAO/DA2.
In short terms, the pro-Mage world states let blood mages live, release daemons/spirits, etc.. Anything that has to do with the Fade is accepted into Thedas, for various reasons in character.. Kinda wanting to see how those worlds play out.
Ever since I heard that data from Inquisition will be uploaded to the Keep, I've been wondering how spoilers are going to be avoided. In general, I don't mind finding out new things about the stories of DAO and DAII, since I've already played those a few times, but I don't want to see spoilers for DAI until I've had a chance to play it. I'm sure that Bioware has already thought this out, but I was wondering if anyone around here had any ideas on how they'll solve this?

There aren't any spoilers for DAI in the keep.

You can share your Keep data with friends, but I assume that if you just don't go to your friend's Keep page, you can't be spoiled by an option they chose. I don't see how you a DAI decision could be spoiled in the Keep other than the whole "sharing" bit...
Unless you're suggesting that every option presented in DAi is going to show up in the Keep when DAI comes out, and an icon showing which one you chose versus the ones you didn't. I doubt they'll do that. I think it'll be more along the lines of a "list of choices made" type thing until we got closer to a possible DA4.

Yea i would assume any options that show up in the keep from DAI would not unlock until you had made that choice in the game and that choice would then be recorded in your world state.
I got a code from a lovely person willing to share, but I almost feel like I shouldn't have it. I had to log out of the Keep because I was getting....I wouldn't say mad, because I KNOW it's a beta and there are still bugs and stuff their working out, but none of my stuff was syncing properly. I was getting more annoyed/upset with myself that my bad luck seems to follow me every where, even into the Keep. ![]()
I knew it was too good to be true that I got a beta code....
(This post was mostly made just to vent a little. I was careful not to say anything specific. Just vague problems).

Yeah unfortunately that's why it's called a beta, they still need time to smooth out the glitches... It is understandable that you are a little frustrated but it's also important to remember that it is a beta for a reasonXD I've worked on other Alpha and Beta projects with early access games on steam so I kind of know what you mean by the frustrationsXD Just remember that it should be working very well the closer to the games release date that we get.
Oh I also remembered another thing I hope, I missed a few key gifts in my most recent playthrough of DAII so I hope I'll be able to pick an option to be able to give people stuffXD

Oh, I know. That's why I said I was more upset at myself. I just feel like it's my bad luck, and not Bioware. I'm going to try again later, and hope that things get ironed out. This has not at all dampened my spirits ![]()
I have been so buried IRL that I didn't even know these forums existed! My knowledge of the Keep was/is pretty much NIL, but it sounds really cool.
So the open beta is that start on the first of October or at the end of it

I don't really equate the 1.0 version as an "open beta". As I see it, version 1.0 of the Keep(you know, the version they release to the public that's supposed to be as free from bugs as possible) is what's getting released at the end of October(or rather, "enough time before Inquisition, to play with it"). As such, if there is an open beta, it'll be sometime from early to mid October.
IMO it's gonna be in the middle. Probably the second week of Oct. Since they've said it'll be out a month before the game.
We'll be hosting a twitch Q&A session to answer Keep questions today at 4pm MST / 11pm GMT.
If you're on twitter, tweet Q's to @dragonagekeep and use the #keeptwitch hashtag so we can find it easy.
You can also ask here, and we'll do our best to juggle twitter, forum and chat Q's. We'll update FAQs afterwards as well in case you miss it.

Are you going to (or did you if its now past) talk like a pirate the whole time? Since it's talk like a pirate day

Ha! Not sure that I'd want to inflict my pirate impressions on anyone
esp our first time doing this. But who knows.
