Oh man. Those Inquisitor romance tiles they showed in the stream (although at first I though Cass was the Male Inqui )

Which stream?

For reference:

I was wondering how you were going to tie 2 different family decision trees into DA inquisition and the web cartoon seems a logical move.  However, in Masseffect downloaded cartoons were a bit weak missing many side decisions - try to recover as much as possible.

Er. The varric narration is a nice touch, it's not essential though. As for side decisions, that depends on their popularity

Well not 100% since they said they aren't planning on doing Ser Pounce A Lot despite it being a very frequently requested variable in the first stream.

Uh, what would that tile be asking anyway? Anders ended up with a cat of that name regardless of what happened in Awakening.

I have a question for y'all. Sorry if It's been asked before, but I gotta ask it.

So I'm not going to sign up for the Beta. I'll just wait until the the Keep goes live, as it should be doing pretty soon. However I read in the FAQ that it says you can have up to 5 world states.

This...sounds like an issue for me. I have 10 Wardens, 7 Hawkes, and 11 planned Inquisitors throughout my Dragon Age journeys. I'm going to need more than 5 World States to appropriately document all of my save progress.

So is 5 the finite number? Are you they going to allow you to make more by the time the Keep goes live?

I don't see why there's a limit on the amount of World States you should have. I know people that have played Origins and DA:2 a total of 30 times each, it wouldn't be fair to lock them out of their multiple experiences and force them to only document 5 of their several World States.

Honestly, if they keep the maximum to 5, I'm just going to create a second Origins account to save my journeys. I shouldn't have to, but I guess that's what it'll take.

You cant sign up anyway.

5 is the number for now, but based on the feedback they are looking to expand it.

I don't understand why anyone would need to create numerous world states at once. Nothing stops you from simply creating a world state you want to play as to first one and to create new world states as soon as you want to play those particular world states. I doubt anyone played multiple games at once before and wanting to create that many world states to me seems similar to that.

Just delete one world state as soon as you have the max amount and make sure to first create a save game. No. need for multiple Origin accounts if there is no limit on save games of each character you want to play as.

Your opinion. Not the opinion of others. Don't tell people what to do.

Did the Warden Commander give Anders a cat I guess? I dunno, they said it was a popular request, so people want it for whatever reason. *shrug*

They also mentioned that giving Leliana a nug was a popular request, but I forgot if they mentioned whether that one was a no go (my guess is yes). People just want to record everything in the Keep I guess.

I'd rather a return to ostegar section than the nug

I really don't recall there being any choices in that DLC that have any significance. In fact I feel comfortable saying that the nug is a bigger decision than anything in that DLC. Mind you I liked the DLC, but getting Cailen's armor really isn't worth a tile. :P

Yes, but both of those have no bearing on the future games.  Leliana doesn't have the nug with her when you meet her in DA2 and she doesn't mention it, so whether you gave it to her or not doesn't matter.  Same with Ser Pounce-A-Lot.  Anders had the cat no matter what, so whether you gave it to him or not, doesn't matter.  "A friend" gave it to him.  Was that friend you, or someone else? It was never in the save file in the first place, it was just a mention they decided to add in DA2 about the cute cat Anders potentially had.

And the Ostagar prisoner decision has a major impact on future games, hence why it is in the Keep? :P

Yeah, what you did with Cailan's body very much is in the save files imported to DA2 even, and same with what happened with Morrigan in Witch Hunt.  I'm sure if you stabbed her she's gonna be like "OMG don't mention that jerk Warden, he totally stabbed me... " or if you went with her, she'll make mention of that.  Those things matter.  As fun as it was to give Leliana a nug or Anders the cat, neither of those decisions have any bearing on future games, especially when as I said before, Ser Pounce-A-Lot was pretty much made a canon choice.  Even if you didn't give it to him, you still did (or someone did)

I never knew you could even give her a Nug lol

Is that in the Keep? I don't know if it is, but if it is then Bioware thought it might potentially matter someday down the line.  Maybe his brother will seek revenge.  But as much as I love cats and ALWAYS gave him to Anders, Ser Pounce-A-Lot has no bearing on future games, and once again, it's already made the choice that you DID give Anders the cat.  Unless you think the choice should be that you what strangled the cat instead of giving it to Anders? I mean really, there's not a choice there that matters.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to get you have to complete the hidden nug quest, and then have her with you when you talk to this weird guy in dust town that talks about nugs, then Leliana is like "oh nugs are so cute but not common nugs" and so THEN you go back to that guy and ask him if he can get you a nug that isn't all dirty and gross, and he sells you one.  Then it's a gift you can give to Leliana, and it stands beside her in camp for the rest of the game then.

Yes it has been visible in some of the public demos of the Keep.

This discussion has gotten so far off the point I was trying to make, so I'm just going to bring straight back to where it started. Not every choice in the Keep is going to be relevant to DAI, some are in because they are popular, however the cat and the nug are proof that not every popular decision will get in due to bandwidth limitations (or something like that). If you don't think they should be in, then great, apparently a bunch of beta testers disagree with you.

Apparently Bioware agrees though.  If popularity was all that mattered, there would be over 1000 choices, not over 300.  What really matters in the end is if it actually has a bearing on the game or if Bioware feels it may matter to future games, if any, after DAI... Ser-Pounce-A-Lot, as awesome as he is to me as a cat lover, "a bunch of beta testers" are being silly IMO.  He doesn't matter one iota to the game except as a mention in DA2 that was there no matter your choice, and unless he's eating bacon and eggs every morning for breakfast (that's a semi-serious joke, i doubt any of you will get it, but kudos if you do), he'll be dead by the time the Dragon Age 4 is set more than likely.
