If you signed the NDA yesterday (Oct 16) until now, you have access to the Keep! Let us know what you think :)

I'm pretty happy with this system.

Although I do usually treasure my saves from previous BioWare games, I sadly haven't got the DAO and DA2 saves any longer. Though I like both games, playing them again to get a complete save file would simply take too much time besides my work.

Well, we are basically a month away from DAI release and the keep is still in beta. So much for it releasing a month before release.

I predict two weeks before launch....

Yeah, it's kind of worrisome that there are still so many bugs and problems... The keep team is pretty lucky the actual game got delayed, otherwise they would have had a huge problem. :/

It should be pointed out that no one at Bioware ever said a month before Inquisition.... All they said was "enough time to input your choices before Inquisition comes out".  People have been interpreting that as "releasing a month(or so) before Inquisition" for the past year.

I maintain that the actual 1.0 "non-beta" release is going to be the week before Inquisition comes out... With an open beta(if there is one) coming anytime between tomorrow and November 11th...

It should be pointed out that it was repeatedly said that the keep would be released about a month before the game. However, this is what is said on the "official" site:

"The Keep will be available to everyone a few months before DAI gets released, in order to give fans plenty of time to experiment with scenarios and make their history exactly how they want." -Mark Darrah

Being a Bioware fan these days is like being in an abusive relationship ......

Actually BioWare did say it:

http://forum.bioware...-age-keep-faqs/

When is the Keep being released?

The Keep will be live and open to everyone about a month before the launch of Dragon Age: Inquisition. So likely mid-late October. The exact date is still to be determined, based on the results of the beta feedback.

Fair enough.  Though you bolded the wrong word(s)... You should have bolded the word "about" and the phrase "likely mid-late October".

I predict 3 days before launch.

Somehow that's going to work.

I still contend that an open beta is just an open beta, not a release...  Sure, everyone can get into the Keep and play around, but "open beta" directly implies that things shouldn't be expected to work properly and it is not the finished product...

Go argue semantics with the keep team. Beta is a word used loose and fast these days.

You could say that the keep is perma Indev

Indeed.  You are quite correct.

You see, Prior to DA 4's release, they will be puting DAI choices into the keep (for those as start there).  And then a possibility of DA 5.....

The keep team, in the twitch video today, uses the term "open beta" for what's coming out on the 29th, not "release"... So while I agree it's a matter of semantics, it's something the Keep team seems to agree with...

And yes, the Keep could be considered permanently in development.  Just like any "continually updated" website could be considered as such(like forums or various news websites).  But most people don't expect features of various websites to suddenly stop working unless there's something wrong with the site itself... And the same will be said of the Keep on the 18th of November...

For those of you still looking to get into the Keep, Ann is distributing keys over in the "Give me a Key" thread (http://forum.bioware...3#entry17532714).

Just a heads' up. :) She said she'll post when she's out of keys.
