cutting it a little close arent they
Probably.
Unlike a game, the browser based nature of the Keep has allowed the Keep team to continue to improve it.
It doesn't go Gold a few weeks before like the game.
The recent Twitch stream referenced features that come directly from the beta tester Keepers feedback.
My own guess based on the Twitch feed - 'Syncing is down' - is that syncing has been a more difficult beast to tame.
Why such a big deal when it only imports your 2D avatar and name from DAO and DA2?
Because it would also need to work flawlessly importing progress from DAI.
The Keep is quite a sensitive project because it's the first chance people have to 'touch' DAI remotely before
the game launches. As it should work perfectly on a range of browsers and platforms.
It's all too easy for an impatient person to find a minor issue and abandon their DAI purchase.
For that reason I can see the comfort that the veneer of a 'public beta' gives.
Find a bug? Sure, well it's a beta so we told you so.
I think it will stay in public as long as possible because I expect no meaningful difference between
the public beta version and a launched version except maybe a beta feedback button.
So the most logical time for official launch is November 18.
