This gives DA its own twist on one of my top favorite things about Mass Effect, so that is exciting!

Okay. I buy DA:I on PS4.
The news about Dragon Age Keep is actually the reason why I'm tempted to change from XBox 360 to PS4.
Oh Bioware, why do you want me broke and starving?

1) Bioware are suggesting that this applies to all versions including current consoles- do X360s and PS3s still cost $400 where you are?Palidane wrote...
If you don't have internet, I'm sorry. It sucks that you won't be able to import your previous games. But from a purely numbers perspective, I can't imagine there's a whole lot of people who can afford a $400 console and a $60 game but can't get their hands on internet for even a second.
2) it' would take more than a second - and you can't subscribe to the internet for such a short period anyway so you have to pay for so many months - and if you justify that expense then you keep on and it adds up - and can add up to a lot
3) and some areas in the world son't have good internet connections

I went for more of a self advertisement approach. I had no idea what to write though.MidnightsFury wrote...
Did anyone else agonize over what they were going to use those 500 characters to type up? I wrote my plea, re-wrote it, then again and again. My final edit probably sounded pitifully whiny and beggar-like. *sigh* Guess I'll see if it did me any good when they decide.

1. $250, but it still applies. Technology moves on, how much longer can Bioware develop for an inferior system?Get Magna Carter wrote...

2. It would take more than a second, but not lot more. You're basically downloading a set of plot flags. I give it 10 minutes, tops. You can't go to a library for 10 minutes?
3. You don't need a constant connection, you only have to download one file.

my spiel was basically how much time I have put into the series, what I love about the series, ant that I have purchased every DLC they put out because i love the series that much.

Any word yet on a solution for consoles without internet connections? Would it be possible to set up a world state on the Keep using an internet-connected PC, save that to a USB drive and then transfer it to an offline console - or is it still too soon to tell? Just knowing if you guys are working on it might ease some of the concerns.Fernando Melo wrote...
Please bear in mind we still have a long way to go :innocent:. We'll share more info over time and actually be able to answer definitively more questions as we go. Meanwhile, I'll try to address what I can (or maybe help provide some rationale around it).

How about the people who could afford it 5+ years ago when the consoles came out, but can't afford it now? Or the people who might be able to afford it but just don't consider it necessary?Palidane wrote...

In my case, it doesn't really matter if there's a way to temporarily connect my console to the internet. I don't want it to go online, ever. When I started playing Dragon Age, an online connection was not needed to use any important features like importing saves from one game to the next, so it's not unreasonable to think that it wouldn't be a requirement this time around either.

Aside from a list of products previously beta'd, I'm unsure what they they could be looking for in a beta tester. I basically said it was in my own self interest to have this thing work perfectly because I intended to make use of it, a lot.DarkSpider88 wrote...

I think they said they were still looking into direct imports, but as it stands? Yes.draken-heart wrote...
Everything I am reading is looking like the Keep will be our only option for save imports. Sad really.

"What legacy did you leave?"
I wonder if it can be used to redesign our warden and hawke, and/or add new information to their life after we've stopped playing them.

I hope they are. I would rather not have to use the keep to import onto the same console. (unless they are getting rid of the PS3/360 versions)

And, given how all out they've gone for DAI so far, I'd be surprised if the Keep didn't have a CC for the Warden and Hawke. Maybe even a voice set to choose from for the Warden, since I doubt there would be that much dialogue for the limited part (I expect) the previous protagonist's will have.
If they're there at all.
