I don't want to spend hours working on it to lose everything now.

Current plan is that they will remain, although they are leaving the deletion option on the table if some horrible bug rears its head.Silly question but since the keep is still in Beta will the world states I have currently created remain or will they be deleted on release of the final version?

Sorry if this is a stupid question and if it has already been asked before, but there is definitely NO options for the "Unrest in the Alienage" quest from DA:O right? No options on whether you rescued the elves and killed the blood mage or whether you let him live and gave him the elves?
Just wanna make sure that I don't have a bug in my keep.

Alright, thanks very much! I really hope they do create options for it since it's one of my favourite quests from DA:O.

What you can do is to send a feedback about that on the beta. I sent some for Return to Ostagar and some bugs

This is an interesting system. While I would have preferred a straight-up import, this actually works out for me from a practical standpoint. I played the first two games on PC, but there is no way my PC can play this game, and I'm not in a position to upgrade right now. However, since I have a PS4, I could just switch over to console and download my world state. I suppose I could wait a while and see if they eventually make an import system, but I've long since learned that "We're working on it," basically means, "Don't get your hopes up."

They've said in the latest twitch keep streams that they won't be making a save import system. You've already pointed out one of the advantages of having the Keep and that's being able to play on any console. Making the system just for PC or last gen console wouldn't be a smart allocation of resources.

Very often saves were bugged, so Keep allows to fix that and set the world state that you really want. Even if there was some sort of import, you wouldn't get all of your choices set correctly.

Hi everyone. Quick question... how do i create a new character in the dragon age keep? I created a character for one save data, how do i create a new character for a new save data.

@Gooner You have to make a new world state first. On the right hand side, click +. It will have a default name like "New World State 1."
Then click the eyeball icon to view the Tapestry for the new world state. (The panels from your previous world state should be appearing, but don't worry, you can change them all for this new one.)
Click on the panel for your Origins Hero and simply scroll through the list of heroes, and pick one out. ![]()
Technically, you won't be creating a new hero, rather, choosing one of the defaults. Hope this helps!

I will add, if you DO want to have a custom name and portrait (just for reference so you can tell your world states apart, and how cool is it to see your character instead of the default portrait?) then you can create a character in game then just save soon as you get the chance. As long as your account is uploading properly (do NOT use the developer console and be sure that uploading is turned on and you are using the right Origin account) and it can take a bit, but you should get your characters uploaded (but name and portrait only, my avatar here is one of my characters, portrait taken from the Keep)

I have a quick question as well, although I'm guessing it's probably a stupid and obvious one that someone's already asked somewhere.
When you fire up the keep for the first time, when it's loading up your information from DAO/2, it starts racking up points based upon how many achievements you have. What exactly are these 'points' for, or are they just something to fill the time while you're waiting on the load?

Those points are, more or less, for your own feeling of accomplishment of having owned the DLCs or completing the achievements of the games...
But they have no impact on anything other than your mind saying "You're not at 100%. You need to be at 100%. Start complaining about how you're not at 100%."

You don't need to even play the game to upload a character. Just download the Dragon Age Origins Character Creator

Well, true but do mods work with that? He may not, but I myself use a lot of character mods, as you can see from my avatars. Don't think any of my Wardens here could be made with the default game...

I don't think mods work in the Keep appearances in general.
Yes, they do. The pictures I posted above are all directly from the Keep, they are my characters Olivia Cousland, Honey Aeducan, Taran Aeducan, Rose Amell, and Quinn Brosca. It just uploads the photo found in your character folder, which is taken directly from the game. Especially note what Honey is wearing. That's Amy's dress from Soulcalibur haha.

I don't even know what that is, i take it those that pre-order direct from Origin get to play DAI before the street date?
