The keep has been down for several hours for me. Does anyone else have this problem?
No, Keep works fine for me.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but can we *name* our own characters in the keep? Do we have to go with the default names of "Elissa" Cousland or whatever or can we enter our own. Last time I looked at the keep (admittedly a few weeks ago) you had no choice but to accept default names. If I'm forced to change my characters' names, can someone at least verify that first names of former characters aren't ever mentioned in DAI and they are just called "Hawke" or "Warden" or whatever? This would seriously suck. A character's name is one of major things that makes a character feel *mine* and not just a computer generated amalgam.
Thanks.

As of now, the only way to have a non-default first name for the Warden or Hawke is to create said character in the game(or use the standalone CC on the PC). There i no way to rename your Warden or Hawke in the Keep.
No one will ever speak the Warden or Hawke's first name in Inquisition(or any other DA game) because it could literally be any combination of letters... It may show up in a codex entry, however. But I'm of the opinion that if a default name for the Warden or Hawke showing up in a codex entry in Inquisition is that big of a deal for someone, they'd probably create a character and sync it to the Keep so it doesn't happen...
Sorry for assuming you meant into the keep. So many posts about it...
No problem.
I did the re-upload with a file that had today's date after toggling some options, and it seemed it worked. Anders is not mentioned in my save now.

That's fine. Sync feature wasn't working when I was experimenting with the keep. I just wanted to make sure syncs didn't default to "Elissa" or whatever as well.
how i make a new world state? i have one made i want to build another a character

Click on the left hand menu and select world states. In editable world states there should be a + sign that lets you make more world states.
You can use the Dragon Age: Origins CC and log in to the servers to create a Warden then select "upload" at the end of creation.
You can use the full game and do the same thing.
There is no character creator for Dragon Age 2.
You may not use the demo to log in (can't log-in anymore with the demo) and create a Hawke to then save your game while logged-in and he/she will appear in the keep.
You have to either launch, re-download or buy Dragon Age 2 and while logged-in create a Hawke and make a save, he/she can then be found in the keep after a few hours or so.
Correct me if I'm wrong on that... as I'm nearing the point of spending 19.99 on DA2 just to get Hawke name's for a codex. lol
I think most important is allowing people to change the Hawke names. I ran the 300 mb origins cc on this very weak laptop I got here no problem and was able to create my Warden's and it worked perfectly. It's so simple. DA2 on the other hand....

hit the refresh button. If your post didnt show then try again.
Question: If I export my world state will it be saved onto my origins account when I go into DA,I and if so can I keep exporting all my saves so when I log in I have a list of what available for me to choose. Or is it whatever is my in game slot is what will be there when I go to choose my world state?

This answer, only one can be imported at a time. You have to import it, go back to the keep, export another world state then start another new game.

Okay, thank you very much.
Hopefully this isn't a spoiler, anyone else hearing Varric refer to Hawke as a dude even if you chose otherwise? Is this a bug or did I import incorrectly? It did recognize the fact I had Anora as queen though. Doesn't break the game, but it's a bit annoying.
That's sort of a spoiler. Did you check the timestamp?
Yeah, not a major spoiler but still a small one. As Kantr said, be sure to double check the timestamp on your import to make sure you are getting your correct import. In fact, it's best to load up your slot like right before you import it, just to be extra sure. That's what I plan to do when I get the game (PC player, so no EA Access for me
)
Do I have to use the keep at all? I have never played DA before so will it just download the default setting? Or will the game just know this?
I'd advice you to use the keep. It'll add to the experience.
Ok but do I have to?
Plus when I have logged into the keep it says PC but I am on playstation?
Thats your Origin Account (forum account)
The default is in the game
Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this but is anyone having trouble accessing the Dragon Age Keep at the moment?
Reading through many of the posts here has really piqued my interest and I would like to check out the keep for myself but after logging in to my origin account all I can see is a blank page that has 'Tapestry' written on the top left and 'Not Synced' on the top right of the Screen. I Tried using firefox as well but all I get is a spinning loading icon. I would post screen shots but am not sure how as the 'image' option only seems to link to web pages and the 'my media' button does not indicate how one is meant to upload a file from his or her PC. Anyone having the same trouble?
to paste screenshots first upload them to something like imgur then click the button to the left of the <> and put in the image url.
If you are using any adblocker programs disable them for the keep website. as well as noscript.
try clearing the cache and visiting it again. If not head here and create a topic http://forum.bioware...ck-suggestions/about it and hopefulyl a dev will be in touch to help you diagnose the problem
Make sure you are using latest firefox and see if you have any plugins that might interfere (or firewall program)
