The Dragon Age Keep is really a horrible mess. What an ugly solution to the problem. The way the uploading is done it also horrible. What were they thinking?
I would imagine the Keep has put quite a few people off buying the game.

Sorry if this has already been asked.
I created a few new files recently. Most of them imported, but two didn't. The two files that did not import had the same character name as previous characters I had made (one from Origins, and one from DA2). I have other characters with the same names that have imported (however, these files were made before the Keep). Do I have to give them different names in order for them to import?
No idea. Probably not though

It's a great soloution to the problem and it looks very nice. There's hardly any uploading either.
Since it is done in a browser, all world states should be saved on Bioware's servers. It would be better if, when starting a new game, DA:I would contact this server and give us a list of our saved world states we could choose from. There really should be any of this "check the timestamp" ****. Secondly, the Keep should be able to interrogate DA:O and DA2 save game files to generate world states without you having to enter everything by hand. I don't see how that would have been hard - they already have code to do that in DA2.
On the other hand, it is possible that when making DA2 they forgot to include this info in the DA2 saves, and this is an attempt to fix that error.
DA2 Ignores most of the flags from DAO
The check the timestamp is to make sure you have the worldstate you exported as current as possible.
Sooo, has anyone else noticed the Inquisition choices section? I guess the Keep's being used for a future game too.

Even if that were the case, I doubt that they would upload it so early.

It would be convenient if we could access all our world states at once but this doesn't seem to be the case. Why it can't detect multiple world states may have something to do with us needing to load a world state into a specific game slot in the keep and it can only hold one to avoid some kind of conflict (my theory)
Is checking some numbers really that big a deal? it's unfortunate they haven't figured out a way to have the name of the world state show up but it's not the end of the world.
As for the Keep being able to detect saves, I've seen plenty of people wonder why the Keep can't do this and I'm surprised they don't consider that bioware has already looked into this. If the Keep can't detect saves/choices then it more difficult to implement then most realize. Also DA:O had maybe 20 plot points and several were bugged? DA2 who knows? You'll probably spending more time fixing what wrong information the Keep uploaded either way.
Even if that were the case, I doubt that they would upload it so early.
The section's locked off, but it's there. It was pretty obvious that DA was getting a fourth game a long time ago, but I had always thought it'd follow ME4's route and separate itself entirely from the original games.

I realize it's locked off, but that still doesn't mean it is for importing for the fourth game.
ME 1-3 were all about Shepard. Shepard's story ended, so then 4 is about someone else (though it still takes place in the same universe). Every DA game is about a different person in a different event, so it's already pretty much separating itself from the original games.
It is for importing into the fourth game, Although that depends on EA approving the fourth game

True, but if DAI does half as well as they expect it to, there is no fear of that. Heck, look at the fan outrage over DA2... and here we are at DA3.
How do I port my keep save to my Xbox360/PS3???
Because Internet explorer threw my Xbox360/PS3 isn't compatible with the Keep website.

Do it on a computer. When you start the game logged in in your console, it will detect it.
Edit: Or tablet. Or phone.
Anyone want to point me to a link for the music that plays during Varric's narration for Dragon Age Origins?
No idea it might be a new music. Ask the Dragon Age keep twitter account

I don't think I can disagree with this anymore. With all the save file bugs and issues going from one system to another, this is the absolute best solution for us hardcore fans. Now I now exactly what I'm getting.
If you're not a hardcore fan then you are probably just happy playing the default story anyway. Even if you were somehow in between and you were complaining about the work to make it, you've had weeks to do it. Plus the game is very involved with character set-ups and building tactics, so why would you not enjoy making it anyway?
In addition, you don't even have to go back and play both games over just to make a couple changes for another playthrough. The keep is an amazing solution, and realistically the best possible way to do this correctly. idk wtf ur complaining about
Quick Keep question. I just noticed that you can have Leliana romanced, kill her at the urn of sacred ashes, and then end up having the "alistair stayed with the warden and the grey wardens" lovers flag checked. Is this supposed to be able to happen? I'm worried about importing it and running into issues.
Part of the reason I'm wondering is that it would be a really, really interesting conversation to see when Alistair and Leliana meet in inquisition, especially since he probably still wouldn't know that she's still alive, and she'd probably have figured out by then about the Warden's and his relationship.
EDIT: checking it now, none of those flags (becoming Alistair's mistress, queen, etc) conflict with who your romance option is even if they remained alive at the end of the game.
While I can see why some people would see an conflict, I really don't since it's totally possible in the game to romance Leliana, kill her, then romance Alistair and end up his mistress, or as I did it with my (as of this posting) avatar Rose Amell, she romanced Leliana but didn't kill her. She DID poison the ashes, but Leliana wasn't there. I told her the truth and she left me, saying she couldn't stay with me. So then I romanced Alistair. Now, did Leliana and I BREAK UP, or did she merely leave my quest? The options in the Keep would suggest that we didn't break up. Then seeing as how it was possible to romance both Leliana and Alistair if you timed it right with their hardening quests, it all works out. Apparently Bioware doesn't think the ability to do that was a bug because I know many people have reported that in the Keep. Sp. especially with Leliana appearing in DAI, I am excited to see how that all plays out. Will Leliana be like "I love the Hero of Ferelden dearly, but we had to part when she defiled the ashes. I know she's with Alistair now, and I wish her the best." haha

I have a question. I just finished Last Court and decided to upload my Keep again (just in case). When this was done there was a message at the bottom, "11/17/2014 04:39:20 UTC, Verify this matches in game date". IS this to verify that the game is available for release or to verify that the upload is the correct world state you uploaded?
Okay I have a really bizarre question.
So far the keep was been working really well for me. Everything's imported and I have like 5 world states ready to go.
I know that the keep is also going to be used for future games and that the decisions we make in DAI will be recorder in the keep without us having to do it manually (at least from what I understand).
Now here's my question. Starting on Wednesday I will be watching my niece and nephews for a week at my sister's house and she doesn't have the internet. I will be taking my PS3 with me. There will be no way the keep will be able to 'know' my choices without the internet.
So when I get back home and my PS3 once again has the internet will the keep update and know my choices or will I have to enter them manually?
I know it really doesn't matter. I'm just curious
The reason why I asked is because I did the same thing and as I was adjusting my keep save I was curious to see if I could, seeing as the devs mentioned that the keep shouldn't track multiple romances. I'm worried more about running into a dialogue bug in the game.
Hmm yeah I see what you mean, although I think it's not going to be much of an issue, since the Warden doesn't make a physical appearance. So Leliana might mention loving her, and if we talk to Alistair he might say she's his mistress, but... I don't really see where they would conflict since Leliana odds are won't be like "OH the Warden was totally Alistair's mistress" and Alistair isn't going to be like "Leliana and the Warden were totally sleeping together... So hot." you know?

Yeah, as long as you log into the Keep to grab your world state to start, then when you return home and reconnect it should upload the data then.
