What does Bioware lose by people not upgrading?draken-heart wrote...
Except for not having an old console out there playing a game that is being designed mainly for the next-gen, with the current-gen being there simply for people too lazy to buy the next-gen.
People playign with 1000x better graphics. A good game can have a mediocre story is the little unimportant graphics make the world beautiful.
Either way, it is better to just Import to the Keep then go onto PC than to go back to the Same console from the keep. Same amount of work, and better results and no need for current Gen console version, which means more time and resources can eb spent on the rest of the versions.

Quick little thing here, can there be at least be a demo for customizing your character? At least this come on please?
That would be nice. I hope so.

What "time and resources"? Bioware are already developing DAI for current gen consoles, the time and resources are being spent, those versions will exist. Nothing is being "saved" by players upgrading to the next console generation for DAI, in fact it will cost those players £3-400 with no gain to anyone else at all! Do you even read what you're posting?draken-heart wrote...

IT is just extra work for little gain. The "buggy" direct import was good for current-gen consoles. It did not need to be eliminated just to add a little extra work to import a playthrough onto the same blasted console.

The only difference between current gen and next gen is that next gen versions will look prettier, otherwise the game will be essentially the same

Within virtually all of your posts, you are calling cautious consumers crazy, insane, mad, etc... If I didn't know any better, I would think you were hired by BioWare.
I know everyone wants "Dragon Age: Inquisition" to be successful. As we 'know' from recent history, "Dragon Age II's" advertising campaign was all hype and all fluff.
Its okay for people to be cautious and skeptical.
When it comes to 'The Dragon Age: Keep", I think its just another vicious layer of DRM. After the last incarnation of "Dragon Age", I think consumers just have to play this one smarter. BioWare is a great company. I just think BioWare has strayed away from certain principles, which originally made people interested in the company. Even though I want BioWare to be successful, I also want to be respected as a consumer.
...and, there is nothing wrong with that mentality.
'The Dragon Age: Keep' should be built into the game, so that people can transfer their save files with a USB.

FastJimmy has voiced a lot of concern about those servers getting shut down eventually, which is a valid concern, but lets see what they come up with first.
I know they've stated that they want to release Keep on other platforms, I just hope they pull through because I'd rather not have to log onto my computer just to set up my DAI save for my Xbox or playstation.

Second, those of us who are appalled by the MS plans for the XBone and refuse to purchse one now have a way to translate those saves to the PC. Should we decide to purchase a new console after we feel the worst of the bugs have been addressed, it will be a PS4, for which we have no saves that can be imported. The Keep will give us a lot more flexibility in deciding on which platforms to purchase DA:I.
Last, I can never remember which of my many characters made which choices. Being able to look at them before importing will get me more invested in the world from the beginning and will offer much more replay value as I can watch for impact from choices I may well have forgotten. It also offers people new to the DA universe a way to create world states to import, giving them a better value for their gaming dollar investment and allowing newcomers more flexibility in choosing one or multiple platforms on which to play.

Incredible. This also allows the Warden and Hawke to play more important roles. Especially if there is a character creator which allows you to recreate them. Also, you don't need to get it on the same platform for the saves, which is great!
OR, it allows you to create what they will look like for their cameos.
This is what I meant!

I don't think it's particularly accurate to say that I've addressed those comments to all cautious consumers. I suggested to you that you were being a little too cautious (I may have said "tin foil hat"..?) about storing non-sensitive information "in the cloud", a comment that I stand by. If Bioware were asking for your bank details, address history and personal measurements in order to store a world state, well then yes, caution would be advised. But when it's just some game data attached to your EA account, is there really anything to worry about?
And the discussion I was having with draken-heart related to his/her bizarre conspiracy theory about how the Keep was designed to make people upgrade their games consoles. I'm not sure how that relates to cautious consumerism at all.
How can this be true, when the Keep doesn't require a copy of any DA game to use (at least so far as we have been told), and DAI won't require the Keep in order to play. The Keep is an entirely optional feature. How is this in any way related to DRM?When it comes to 'The Dragon Age: Keep", I think its just another vicious layer of DRM.

No it wasn't. The import system is garbage. It couldn't even do an import from Origins to Awakening properly.draken-heart wrote...
