The "buggy" direct import was good for current-gen consoles.
Awakening was buggy because of itself. DA 2 was "bad" because it had nothing to do with Ferelden. If we weren't going to Ferelden in Inquisition, the same thing that happened in two would happen in this game.

This is exactly the sort of thing I would've done in these games, anyway, except with multiple playthrough. This would save me a few hundred hours of jumping through hoops just to see how things could've been different.

If you don't have internet, I'm sorry. It sucks that you won't be able to import your previous games. But from a purely numbers perspective, I can't imagine there's a whole lot of people who can afford a $400 console and a $60 game but can't get their hands on internet for even a second.
2) it' would take more than a second - and you can't subscribe to the internet for such a short period anyway so you have to pay for so many months - and if you justify that expense then you keep on and it adds up - and can add up to a lot
3) and some areas in the world son't have good internet connections
2. It would take more than a second, but not lot more. You're basically downloading a set of plot flags. I give it 10 minutes, tops. You can't go to a library for 10 minutes?
3. You don't need a constant connection, you only have to download one file.
1) Dragon Age Inquisition is being developed for X360 and PS3
2&3) It'snot entirely clear how it would work .(will obviously take longer but may be the setting up will be doable in advance from a pc)..but..I've never ever seen anyone take a console (and TV set) to a library to use the internet ... I'm not certain if they allow it where I live...have you ever seen anyone do such a thing where you live ...and hauling the console and TV onto a bus..dragging them into the library and dragging them back sounds like a lot of effort..(and risk of accident and breakage).
Maybe if the file could be downloaded onto a device from a PC and installed from the device onto the console (so I only need to carry the device around) I may be able to make it..
Though, obviously can't speak for other console gamers without internet (and most won't be able to speak for themselves)
Though it seems that Bioware's intent is that you will need to directly connect the console to the intenet

In DA:2 Cullen comments on a Female Amell being in the Circle, but not a Female Surana. Which... always sort of irked me. I was like, "Was our love not good enough!?"
But whatever, just, if someone could fix it so that they're both equally recognized, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Problem of DA2 wasn't in them moving away from Feralden, it was in let us be honest unfinished game. I had no problem of going into the same city, same places 4-5 times as it was combined with story. I did mind entering the same cave and all of a sudden it wasn't the same cave cause for some reason the cave changed compleately in the 3 years span since I was in it last.
I could even overlook that, but even with that all the castles, manors, caves... they were all one exactly same huge cave, only difference was what part of it did I enter into it. I entered a place for the first time and I already knew exactly where to turn right, where is that little hidden chamber... and even on the minimap I could see the remains of that one giant cave they made. Really sloppy work.
Not to mention the outside of Kirkwall where you always knew that your quest was on that little peninsula with 3 passages towards it, I swear, I'd take a showel and just flood the place with how many evil people gathered there in the 7 years Hawke lived there.
When I am at quests the quests that were I found a missing finger and all of a sudden I know who I have to bring it and I don't have any convo but just, here take this 2 gold pieces... yea... okey... sloppy work over 5000...
Then we take a look at our companion clothes... what a load of BS with items, nah we don't have the time to change the ingame looks of every character so here, buy this upgrade for their clothes so all game armor is just for Hawke just so we don' have to render other clothes for companions...
sloppy and clearly unfinished work already over 7000....
Honestly I could have overlooked 90% of that, any other company making this would get a thumbs up even with this illnesses (which I honestly did cause it's Bioware and their storytelling which has always been on the top of it all) but when they even went so far to mess up the looks of characters... Every elf in the game, but EVERY ELF looks a bit boxy aka square. It wasn't enough they failed with all the other things they didn't even render elves to look normal but you could feel a wrongness in their look whenever they were on screen, best to look at Merill (compare DA:O and DA2 version to see what I am talking about) that made it go over 9000.
Yes, story wise it was still good... but it failed in so many directions cause Bioware released an unfinished game. Good thing they are waiting for so long with Inquisition cause that gives me hope how game will actually be finished and with Bioware storytelling it should be really good no matter if it is in Orlais, Ferelden, Kirkwall, Antiva, Par Vollen, Nevarra or any other land (as long as they don't repeat ME3 ending which is also a story for itself).

The reason for this is because Bioware assumes that if players don't use the keep then they are not interested in what happened in the previous games they obviously didn't play. And the Martyr pre-made history pretty much limits the impact of the wardens actions on future games.
