I'm not certain what you think I said that is at all different from what you've said here. Certainly it will be a file, I just doubt they will structure it as a DA:O save file. More likely, it will be a simple checklist to be fed into DA:I. If they really wanted to, they could design it as a DA:O file certainly, but why would they go out of their way to do that?Ieldra2 wrote...
And? It's child's play to write it to a file that can be read by DA2, if you know the format. In fact, I suspect that creating an import file is what the Keep will do with regard to world-states to be imported into DAI, since it's much easier to create an import file and download it to your gaming box than to make the game import the decisions directly over the net. The only real risk is that nobody knows the DAO savegame file format anymore because the documentation was lost or never up to date, but then, they fixed some bugs relating to decisions carrying over with the 1.4 patch so I don't think that's all that likely.
I just don't think they have any desire to devote the resources to making a file format the works for both engines and making sure it works for DA2, a game they have said they are entirely done with.
