This is really the best way to go about it, so much props to Bioware for going this route - only concern is making sure it covers any DLC choices as well since some of those appear to have significance.

Does anyone have the direct link to the faq on dragon age keep? I see it on the site, but it doesn't seem to be clickable. -shrug- Or is it even up yet?

Have you the last version of flash player on your PC?

It's a pop up on the same page. Mostly it just covers what they intend to do with the beta and how they'll choose people to participate (Based on reported skill level/interests/etc.)

I have windows 8, so it has a built in version of flash, and it tends to butt heads with any updates.  Posted Image  I guess I could try it on chorme since it has a bit more luck with such things.

They will relase DAI for both current and next gen console right?

Than it doesn't make any sense make it work only with xbox one or PS4.

Have a funny feeling that, despite what Mark mentioned in the blog about "....continung to look into ways..." we really aren't going to be able to import our saves between platforms and that 'The Keep' is their sole solution, they just don't want to say, "Hey guys, this is our final answer..." because they know a lot of people will crap themselves in fury irrationally even if there really is, fundamentally, no difference between importing the save files and selecting all the details of all the choices you made in previous games via The Keep.

I mean, the blog mentions several times how they've had difficultly with data, logic gaps, and so forth. Basically using a very expanded and more indepth version of Mass Effect 2's "What happened on this planet, Shepard?" system solves that problem. While The Keep is a brilliant idea, I'm curious to see if it is, in fact, solely what they are going with and when/if they'll confirm that. Hopefully if people aren't able to import their *actual* save files they won't throw another (*bleep*) fit ala ME3's conclusion (not that I blame anyone for a negative reaction to the later) or Ben Affleck being cast as Batman.

LoL! yes, Google chrome has a lot of issues on windows 8 (for me?). I always used chrome on xp, but it is rather busted on this laptop. But Yes I know...I'm as bad as the blight for using IE. :P

hmm I wonder if this means we can Combine certain saved games such as a Ultimate sacrifice playthrough and an Orlesian Warden Playthrough.

Omgomgomgomgomg. "How did you modify your Warden and Hawke?"... So like, does that mean just decision-wise or will there be a CC to remake them? >_>

I was hoping for something like this since i lost everyone of my save import files an didnt fancy replaying both games for all the different outcomes i had achieved, the replay value this keep seems to suggest is a bonus without equal and overshadows my worries about it being an online component.

To say im pleased is a understatement, huge kudos to bioware an the team for making this happen

Great news. I'm so glad that I have written down all my choices :D Yeah, I'm strange. Did it for Mass Effect too.

How exactly does importing work? Will I have to log in with the same account or does The Dragon Keep generate a file I can download from a browser?

"What about actually importing your save games? We are continuing to investigate ways in which save files from previous games could be used to populate the initial world state of the Dragon Age Keep. We’ll provide more information on this in the months to come".

- Mark Darrah

I think it's really important that they implement this, especially for those of us who have multiple playthroughs because it can be difficult to keep track of every decision that has been made.

My only other main concern is that DLCs and Awakening really should have import flags in the Dragon Age Keep. If these import flags can be tweaked by people who haven't purchased these additions, then I don't see that as a bad thing - it might encourage some people to purchase them when they otherwise wouldn't have wanted to.

I'm assuming they're using Origins as an umbrella term to refer to everything attached to that game. Hopefully I won't be disappointed. .

Best solution and depending on how detailed it is, it may be better than importing a save. None of the DA or ME games have imported w/out some kind of bug and I expect that will be the case in DA:I too.
