Ok, this has probably been answered already, but I don't have the time to browse through 40+ pages of posts, so i just have one question; how exactly will the Keep work?
What I mean is, will I always have to recreate my characters and stories from scratch, relying on my memory, or will there be an import-save-into-keep feature?
I didn't understand that bit very well in the original blog post.
It's important to me because, while most of my playthroughs were "paragon"/"good", there were many subtle (and a few not so subtle) diffrences in decisions made and romances picked that depended on the character's class, gender and attitude. I might not, and in fact already do not remember all of them for all my characters, but I still feel those choices make them unique and different from each other, and in that respect, those choices are very important.
The current plan is to have all choices entered from memory.
There is talk of POSSIBLY finding a way to read your old save import files and then performing a "QR" process on them, manually changing informaiton and records as you see fit... but this has not been confirmed as being possible or not, nor if it will be applicable to all platforms (such as PC only, or if consoles are able to import their files as well).
So I'd say count on inputting your choices from memory. My impression (not at all guaranteed, mind you) is that The Keep will give you background on each decision if you want more information about what exactly was going on, so you're not saying "Who was that? What was I doing? Why should I care?" when you are trying to enter the different states into the system.
