Little off-topic, but question for any Devs or Moderators looking: Was just in my "registered game content" and noticed that Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar, Golems of Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt don't show up on my DAO content, and neither do Legacy and Mark of the Assassin for DA2. Obviously I'm asking this because I bought them, and I know someone said the DLCs would need to be registered to get access to their choices in the Keep, so is this something I should be concerned about?

Who?  It's the first I've heard of it.

Can't find it now, but one of the Devs said that the DLCs would need to be bought to have access, since it wouldn't be fair if someone who never bought them got to make the choices the same as someone who had.  Now I can't remember if anyone ever actually said "registered" though... :pinched:  For all I know, that might have all changed since then and I just wasted my time :)

I don't know how that would work w/the dlc. I mean, I just downloaded the da2 stuff off of xbox live. Soo, idk, how they would discern if it's in your game w/out a save import system....or an origin acct.

edit: do we need an origin acct to use the Keep? Sorry if this has been covered already.

p.s. i finally registered my DA stuff tho. i like my lil badges..haha!

Yeah.  I'd have to see a quote for that.  We're already making choices for both the two games despite buying them if I remember right.

In another beta test I took part in, there was a private forum restricted to the testers and developers.

Or do what ESO does and e-mail out a survey to the people who participated in the weekend beta.

so the two ways to give feedback to bioware thay e-mail out a survey to the people who participated in beta or a private forum restricted to the testers and developers

I'm quite confident that Alistair being exiled/killed wasn't required if you wanted to be king. So it wouldn't be something "the game doesn't let you do." On the 360 it bugs if you do that (Alistair acts like he's king when he's not). The only way to get around that bug (and become king on consoles) would be killing/exiling Alistair, however becoming king with Alistair as a grey warden is supposed to be possible.

The Keep has a function where you can "lock in" an end-state decision, and it will only then let you choose prior "prerequisite" decisions that don't break the system or contradict the one you've locked down.

So I guess in this instance you could lock down "Warden becomes King" and it would only allow you to pick the Alistair/Anora/Landsmeet/whatever outcomes in combinations that logically fit. It can be a way of guaranteeing a desired worldstate in a way that doesn't break the game (since the decision trees in the Origins endgame especially are apparently ridiculously complicated).

I think we can have multiple world states in our Keep, and the use them for different playthroughs in DAI, if that's what you're asking.

That's cool I suppose. I doubt it will be done, but it would be cool if we could just get a DAO world state save that we could import into DA2 as well. Since some possible world states are bugged on the consoles.

Does anyone know if whether or not your Origins account not actually having DA games on it effects your getting selected for the beta? I had to recreate an Origins account since I couldn't recover the password to my last one due to my email getting hacked (and I didn't know a way around it).

So now I don't know if I have to rebuy both Dragon Age games with their DLCs or not...

They haven't given specifics on what qualifies someone for selection, but given that they're looking for a range of people I doubt it'll matter if you have DA games on your Origin account. Eventually many if not most people who applied for the beta will get access, as they do large-scale tests closer to launch.

Also, there's absolutely no need to rebuy both DA games and all their DLCs just to participate in a beta program for an online save editor, surely? Unless you meant that you can't access your old games on Origin anymore?

If you can't get into your account, EA Customer Service might be able to give it back even without recovering the password or the email.

Well, in truth I want the games back even regardless of the Beta. But the Beta would just be another reason to want to get them back. So it only reinforces my desire.

I suppose I could ask Customer Service. I've just heard horror stories about their CS so I've kind of steered clear of it. I guess I could give it a shot. Worst case scenerio is I get someone in India.

It would be idiotic if they made it so you could only pick DLC choices if they're on your "registered game content." As someone who bought the Ultimate Edition that would suck, since nothing is considered that. Haven't read up on it, but is the keep for 360 as well? Or is it just a PC/Next gen thing?

I just asked Mike Laidlaw on Twitter, and having DA content on your Origins doesn't effect you getting selected for the beta.

You could always ask on Twitter if you have an account. Mike seems to be pretty efficient about answering questions.

nvrmnd, I did it:

@Mike_Laidlaw Sorry, one more question: do we know when more invites to the Keep beta will be sent?

@VidGameGrl  No solid timeline at this point.

It'll be for everyone, as far as I know even on 360/PS3 there's no way to import save-file data into Inquisition. All the consoles will need to use it to set up a world-state.

Also, I'm pretty sure that all the DLCs are included in the Keep's decisions, they aren't going to restict them to people who own them.
