Here my take on the "online requirements" debate:

snip, so page isn't swelled

I actually agree with you Ieldra2 on all these points, I mean it really makes no sense to me

I mean i was dealing with a guy on the gamefaqs forum awhile ago who refuses to get the game because he's forced to download software like Origin or Steam and the guy was ranting at how these two systems are ruining PC gaming
I mean the only time I connect to Origin is for game updates and the like and new DLC, i play in offline most of the time for convenience and to not be disturbed by friends when i'm fully immersed in my game xD

I assume when you log into DA : I, you will sync it up with your own Keep, and any worldstates you've created with the keep at the time of syncing up, will be there and readily accessable on your console/pc system whether you are online or offline after that. And if you wished to make more worldstates to access, you'd just go online again for a small period of time.

Some people really are creating a momumental amount of problems out of very minor and easily overcomable issues

I would like to add that I find one player request reasonable: the ability to use the DA Keep to create import files for DAI, combined with the ability of the game to import from that file as well as the Keep directly. While I don't believe there is a significant percentage of people with no online access at all, having no online access with older-generation gaming consoles is apparently still rather widespread. I'll take that at face value, since I'm 100% unfamiliar with anything related to consoles.

I think there should be an app for the consoles that allows our consoles to access the Keep without using a PC.

You can use the Keep on any platform that can access a web browser.

I decided to check out the Keep website to see if there were any updates/notes on the site (there aren't). However, there is an issue browsing to dragonagekeep.com if a user has Sophos anti-virus. This is definitely something for devs/Bioware IT team to look at:

Image IPB

N.B. This doesn't mean the site is infected, just that Sophos has marked it as potentially harmful due to some feature or code that could be used in malicous ways.

Anyway, I'm really keen to see what the Keep looks like, and am hoping for a secound round beta invite...

Thanks GuitarShredUK -
I think this is a known issue (?) but I've still "borrowed" your screenshot and have forwarded it on to the team working on the site.

Thanks Brian. For what its worth, I think the issue is with Sophos rather than the website. I have web filtering on to block potential suspicious sites, but there may be some function somewhere on dragonagekeep.com that may look odd to certain security apps.

Anything to help you guys out :)

The real question I want to ask is why haven't I specifically been asked yet? I am starting to take it as a personal insult. Don't you know who I am?

You obviously never used the Playstation Browser to suggest such a vile thing. Playstation Browser gives my playstation 3 aids.

Hi everybody, France here !

Sorry if the question has already been made but I'd like to know if there is any news about importing a save data who takes all my previous choice from DAO, Awakening, Witch Hunt, DA2 etc..?
'Cause all I'm seeing right now is about the Keep not allowing (for now) to do it..

I'd like to know especially for the PC version of the game

(Sorry for my English by the way O:) )

No new updates on that front. We are still working under the assumption that all import information is going to need to be manually entered into the Keep for any import decisions to show up in DA:I.

Well I hope they'll find a way, I'd be really disappointed if they don't.
All that hours of play with my Warden and Hawke and all my choices, all "gone"...

Please Bioware, find a solution, you can do it ! :D

Well, they won't be gone. You'd just have to enter them in yourself. Who knows? The interface may be really fun and enjoyable, instead of a mindless checklist.

And for those who say they don't remember what they chose... then why does it matter? Choose what sounds good now and you can play with it in DA:I.

Well the fact is I played DAO and DA2 on PS3 and about a year ago I decided to re-play it on PC in order to have no problem of import save with DA:I

I'm about 60-70hours of DAO and DLC and I'm just doing DA2 right now so, you know, I'd like to "keep" this hours of play with DA:I

I'm kinda dissapointed right now :/

Well, don't think of it as losing those hours. You played through again and (I'm hoping) enjoyed yourself.

And just because The Keep is going to make you enter those choices into a website instead of being magically whisked away in a file load doesn't mean those choices didn't happen. It just means the method of creating the file that will import your information is different.
