I know how that feels =(, It would just be nice to sate that dragon age craving, curse you Bioware why do you have to make such a wonderful world!! :< downright rude! :P

Yeah...I log into the email account I used to sign up for the Keep at least a couple of times a day to check.....it's a not often used online email account so I don't get overwhelmed with spam/advertising.

Think problem with an email acc not being used very often, any email you get notified of can end up gearing you up for disappointment =/

Pretty sure they do, usually through twitter as well right? I wonder how many more betas they'll do before they open the floodgates and do an open beta

Wonder will the Keep just be a list of check boxes with some context information.

I think it's fair, to restrict Keep options basing on the content owned by the player.

I don't. I too have bought all the DLC, so I wouldn't be getting any choices for "free". Old content is old.

There are players who have no interest in playing DAO, DAA, or DA2, but might be aware of what some of the options are and want to make choices without playing those games. I've seen many DAO fans who have no interest at all in playing DA2, or stopped playing DA2 and won't pick it up again. There are DA2 fans that dislike DAO and find it tedious. There are DAO players who never bought the DAA expansion; they might dislike expansions, or had no interest in playing it since their Warden was dead (despite the unfortunate import decision/error allowing such a play).

I highly doubt they will restrict selection of options in the Keep based on the products associated with your account. They want new players to be able to use it as well, not only with DAI but with future games. As the franchise gets larger with more games added, the likelihood the players will have played the early games decreases.

*snip*

Bit strange how you quoted a post from 19th March, Nrieh put up a fight against everyone else for a while, it was duked out and now its over :P best to let the sleeping dogs lie

but Yeah they aren't going to start restricting the fanbase now or they will just end up alienating them and losing sales, it would be a dumb move to restrict people's use of the keep based on what they have and haven't owned.

I hope the DAI opening starts with Varric recapping DAO/DA2 based on keep files.

Ooo this would be great :D.

agreed, to restrict choices based on content the player owns would be petty, there is also the issue of people who don't register their content, I know people with both games and all the dlc who haven't registered their stuff, they play off line, the ony time they go online is to download dlcs and updates.

Well sorry, it's not like I necro'd a thread or something. I don't follow these threads closely, and only check on them periodically, usually for news nuggets. When I clicked on the icon it took me to the last page I had read. You could have just ignored it -_-.

Remember that animation thingy for DA 2 that got scrapped, how cool would it be if the Keep was that but for Inquisition, they have all the old audio from DA:O etc for key scenes. Yes the artist would have a whole lot of work to do , but I'd appreciate it :).

Obviously checking in on the keep since I still didn't get my invite -_-. All this secrecy is making it out to be something big, would be a shame if it is not, secrecy wasted...

The person you quoted kind of disappeared.

I'm not aware of a DA2 animation thing (but I never followed DA2 development either)... o.O Do share! While that does sound fun, imagine trying to do multiple world states. Don't you think that seeing the same animations several times would get tiresome? The first time it's really awesome and engaging, the second you might only be paying half-attention, and the third upward you will be tearing your hair out wishing for a fast-forward button.

I'm going to assume that there are at least a couple of dozen choices presented (probably more). And while I don't think that the Keep is as banal as a checklist, it still has to be something that user can go though with relative ease.

Same.

Knowing we'll get to tinker with it a month or so before game release is a small ray of sunshine though :D

Now that I play PC only and all my DAO, DAA and DA2 stuff was on PS3 The Keep is going to save me Sooooooooooooooo much time :P  I still play the current DA titles on PC, or replay I guess is more appropriate  BUT, I have to confess, that I enjoy them a heck of a lot more on PC then I did on console. Thats just personal taste though Im sure :D  Any way, BRING ON THE KEEP WOOT IM READY B)

Yes, Bioware specically decided to hate you. Whole bunch of them. They found your profile and immidiately thought that "god what an annoing loser this guy is".

No beta for this mother#%&¤% thats for sure.

Seems that you just made into Biowares enemies list. Congratulations.

Does that mean I get a character vaguely named after me in Inquisition that immediately gets eaten by a dragon, murdered by Antivan crows, or ripped in half by an ogre? If only Geralt of Rivia was in Thedas, he's an expert in stopping such things.

Who knows. People still speculate if the new genlock design from DA2 legacy was actually based on companys least liked co-workers who forgot to give enough christmas-presents to David Gaider and not so much on pure inspiration. :P

Bioware is funny like that. They never forget insults. One day they are presenting a kick-ass RPG for us gamers, next day they are kicking down your front door at the middle of the night.
