And as far as I am aware, it should include DLC and expansions as well. (I'd be infinitely surprised if they were omitted).

What's more important is that transfers ranging from previous to next generatinos and from consoles to PCs has been allowed.

Why do you want to import? We saw importing can easily mess stuff up, I'd much rather create something with the Keep that works as intended (hopefully).

Mark is talking about importing into the Keep, as it would expedite setting up the world state for your game to recognize. There aren't plans to directly import from save games into DAI. So in that sense, yes the Keep is our sole solution. It'd be really, really good for some people, especially those with a lot of characters, to be able to speed the process along by importing, which is what Mark is referring to with his investigation.

(And to preempt concerns, you won't need to always be connected to the keep. Once you create your game the states will be set).

we really aren't going to be able to import our saves between platforms and that 'The Keep' is their sole solution, they just don't want to say, "Hey guys, this is our final answer..." because they know a lot of people will crap themselves in fury irrationally even if there really is, fundamentally, no difference between importing the save files and selecting all the details of all the choices you made in previous games via The Keep.

The keyword there is "directly." He didn't say there wouldn't possibly be importing of your saves via the "Keep."Star fury wrote...

Not being able to import our save games is terrible news. What about an appearance of our Warden/Hawke? I have lots of characters from DAO, so instead of selecting one save file per character, I will have to select hundred choices for one character. How is it going "to speed the process along by importing"? Is this a joke?
We can have different saves states for different playthroughs of DA:i right?Allan Schumacher wrote...

The idea behind this is that you can connect to the Keep when starting a new game, regardless of what platform you are currently running on.

I didn't see anything messed up by the import in my games.
