Wish bioware would tell me if there will be a app for ps4.

From what I understand Keep is a webpage that your console (PC, XBox360, XBoxOne, PS3, or PS4) will connect to and get the relevant data. I would imagine you can go to the webpage from any device with a browser. Hope that helps!  :)

In a video of an interview with Fernando Melo called What Is the Dragon Age Keep? Fernando mentions that they are hoping to use The Keep for future games maybe even a Dragon Age 8, if it happens, so it should still be around and be able to be used then. I hope this helps at all.

^This

And perhaps in the future they'll repackage it as a free download. That's what they did when Dragon Age: Legends went offline.

Okay, I've been seeing a TON of misinformation being passed as fact lately in this thread.  Here is what we know about how the Keep will function, as NOTHING MORE than this has been officially confirmed:

-The Keep is a web page that you will log into with your Origin account.  It is NOT a downloaded app or program.  It is a fancy webpage with an app on it that you will access from a web browser.

-Your world states will be set up and saved via this website application.  Upon signing into your Origin account when starting a game in Inquisition, the game will connect to the Keep's database and retrieve this world state for use in the game.

-You will personally input the decision choices into the Keep.  They are trying to work out a way to upload a save file to the Keep to automatically populate the data, but recent tweets and comments make it seem less and less likely.

-It will be more than just a checklist of decisions to click through.

-The Keep should release about a month before Inquisition, so around September.

-Two small waves of beta invites have been sent out so far, and they have been good about announcing when they've sent more via their Twitter account.

And that's about all we know.  Surely this was all in vain, as I'm sure to come back to this thread tomorrow and see the same four questions being asked repeatedly... but I had to say it just in case someone actually pays attention.

So there's a good chance that old save states from DAO and DA2 will be completely worthless.  Ahh well...other than missing out on some saved time, it's not really that big of a deal.

Still the biggest questions have not been answered on DK.

Can I use 56K Dial Up

Can I use a USB Flash Drive to Upload from my Laptop then Import into my Playstation 3

Previous saves are Useless, being no Direct Import without the need of DK APP, being like ME Trilogy did aka ME 1 into ME 2 then ME 2 into ME 3 without the need of DK being a Direct Method. Previous saves USELESS so no need to replay previous games anymore.

How does DK work on a CONSOLE being my Playstation 3 - My Laptop runs on 56K Dial Up Internet so how would I transfer my Keep World State to my Playstation 3 console. Since my PS3 is Wi Fi, DSL, Broadband or Wireless. you can not use 56K Dial Up on a PS3 Console or any other consoles.

So what would people do if they are in a Internet dead-zone how would they use DK APP if they are stuck with 56K Dial Up.

Keep in mind not everyone in the US has Internet most do not even have Wi Fi these are isolated areas where it is like living in Alaska being Remote or Cut Off.

So I am asking for them What are their choices about doing or Using The DK APP. or would they have to play Inquisition on its DEFAULT-BAREBONE Selections.

If So people are going to be pissed & very angry to Play Inquisition & also they would feel betrayed about Previous saves & can no longer do the ME Trilogy style of a Direct Import Method.

So I am asking for them WHAT ARE THERE OPTIONS.

if your ps3 has no internet they did say that you could use the flash drive option. It was in an interview I saw a while ago. I can't remember which one it was hopefully I can find it and post a link. As for the 56k dial up I'm not sure if you can use the site or not they haven't said yet. since no one knows what the keep looks like or how it works yet.

The site will at least be more than just text and check boxes. Bioware has before mentioned the options will be shown graphically. I am not certain anymore if they stated there would be cinematics or not. I just wish Bioware would post everything they have said in this thread instead of the information being spread out over the Internet.

Also, I don't see a need for rehashing the same exact questions every single day. The questions of whatnow will eventually get complete answers but asking the same thing every single day is not going to make it happen faster.

We don't know. But here is the thing, in 2010 78% of PS3 owners and 71% of XBox360 owners had their systems hooked up to the internet. Link It is reasonable to assume that that number has only gone up, but it is still possible as much as one in five players may not have the ability to connect to Keep.

I'm positive they are working on something to help that one in five, but they may not be sure they will have it available by release day. Thus they're not talking about it. Right now they are focusing on the overwhelming majority of gamers who will play DAI,and have no problem with the connection to the Keep system. They're making sure that our experience with Keep is fun, and above all else clean.

Be patience. We'll know what is available and what is not by Oct. 7 at the latest.  :)

One of the devs mentioned the Keep being narrated.  I assume there will be some form of cinematics, and I feel like the actual word was mentioned by one of the Devs but I'm having a hard time finding the link.  As far as using a flash drive, I really don't recall that being confirmed.  Only that they were working on it, so if someone could find a link for that it would answer a commonly asked question on here.

If someone doesn't have internet there will be a preloaded game state which of course won't be customized to their choices, but it is there.

Honestly, we don't have a lot of information about DA Keep right now.  But we also don't have very much information on the game itself and what kind of system requirements that will have either.  I imagine there will be an entire article, blog post, interview, or something that completely focuses on the Keep in the future... hopefully at E3.

I'd like you to cite your source on the bolded section. Where did you learn that most in the US don't have WiFi? I live in an extremely rural area, in the mountains of KY. We have reliable internet here, and it's affordable. Most people I know have it here. I'm not saying there are not areas without it, just that I'd like to see the source that says most don't.

I have a pretty good internet connection but I will be getting Inquisition for my Xbox 360 as my laptop will not be able to handle it, yet my DA:O and DA ][ saves are on said laptop. I hope there will be a way to make a master save using the keep + a flash drive to input my world states into the Xbox 360, since I cannot afford Xbox Live.

Well in my Location, I guess I am just the ODD-DUCK or the Only person in the US that dosent have a Connection, So maybe I shouldn't even buy Inquisition.

I knew that Bioware would screw this up someway, mainly messing up IMPORTING, where I can not do it like previous Bioware games do, being like Origins into DA 2 or ME Trilogy being ME 1 into ME 2 then ME 2 into ME 3, I don't wanna use the KEEP. I want DIRECT IMPORT.

I hate this everyime New Consoles or New things comes out this screws up OLD, making my previous save NULL & VOID-Useless.

I know I am always repeatedly asking about 56K Dial Up work on Dragon's Keep but many are not in my Shoes, you people are lucky you have the Internet where I DO NOT.

I also Love Dragon Age, & I also have been following Inquisition since 2012. I know everything on Inquisition.

But I am most worried on is Dragon's KEEP & IMPORTING. If they scewed this up then I don't know about Inquisition.

Sorry for my mean sounding RANT, I am just a Passionate gamer, I been doing this since 1983, I just wanna be able to have fun & play Inquisition.

But DK APP & Importing could make playing Inquisition harder than Previous installments.

I get that there are people, such as you, who don't have WiFi, or high speed internet. I only took issue with you saying that MOST don't. I would guess that MOST in the US have some access to internet. If not at home, then a local library or other hot spot. I'm not saying this would help with Keep issues, but you made a generalization about internet access in the US. I would just like to know your source on that. I'm a passionate gamer as well, so I get how frustrating this must be. But, I also get that Bioware has to cater to the majority. Also, as far as 1 in 5 not having internet, again, cite your source. And that wouldn't be most anyway.

Right now I am at the point where I am thinking of giving up gaming altogether, cause I am the 1 in 5 who must rely on DIAL UP.

Sometimes I ask myself why I am even still gaming when I don't have the online connections to do Gaming which pretty much all of gaming todays is 100% In an Online Form or being a Connection required deal sort of like how the Keep will be.

Since the DK is CLOUD-BASED I sincerely doubt my 56k Dial Up would Run it. Even though I have me a Decent Laptop using Windows 7 on a Compaq Persario I doubt even on my Laptop I would be able to run or use DK.

I could take my PS3 to my Relatives home but their Wi Fi connection is horrendously SLOW, even for Wi Fi. Even downloading a PS Vita Demo takes FOREVER. doing my Mass Effect 3 DLC Content I had to leave my Console over their for the entire Weekend then I had my Relative bring back to me.

I am also curious to see How DK will work from a Playstation 3 since I am playing Inquisition on my PS3, so I am curious to see the What is REQUIRED deal to use DK APP on a PS3 or any other console.

I do have a EA/Bioware Account or an Origins Account & I could take both my PS3 Console & My Laptop to my Relatives. But like I said HORRENDOUSLY SLOW WI FI.

People have told me to use a Ethernet Cable to a Router instead of Wireless to increase the Speed & also move the Router away & some place High.

So I may try different Methods to increase the Speed of my Relatives Wi Fi or Contat their Provider to see what a Technician would say about why my PS3 is so SLOW.

It could also be that my PS3 is a FAT MODEL being a 160 GB but others told me the models of the PS3s don't matter about effecting Wi Fi connections.

For now I will just simply play Inquisition on DEFAULT or Selection Options, I doubt Importing from DK will effect the game that much ANYWAYS.

I don't mean to sound like such a Negative Bug all the time, but most of you are not in my shoes, or face the kind of deals I have to deal with all the time.

It is hard being a gamer in todays world who is still using 56k Dial up, being stuck in the stone age, cause of where I live & my location, making me the Odd-Duck or 1 of the few who must rely on Dial Up just cause I live in such as weird Location.

What I meant by Most of the US, I meant by that statement is Some people still such as myself are still stuck using 56K & yes I know a good majority of Console Users have some sort of Online connection to their consoles.

But some of us being the Few are not so lucky we have 56K Dial Up. & Yes I am 1 of the few. Some of my friends also have 56k Dial Up also.

So I been asking around about the DK Keep cause they think I am a Dragon Age Expert or just good at digging up info on Games.

I told them even I don't know everything on DK APP such as 56K Dial Up to what is required, How it will work on consoles. ETC.

I said I am just going to take a break from Inquisition for a while cause I have some awesome stuff this summer to keep my busy, from New Video games to Going to the Movies to watching Falling Skies Season 4.

Also I said I am burned out from Researching Inquisition since 2012.

Never mind, I don't care anymore, I will just play Inquisition the Best way I can. I am tired of fighting against forces that I don't have any control over, & trying to do things I have no access for.

So be it, If I have to play Inquisition Default SO BE IT, like I said DK will probably not do JACK-SQUAT anyways.

Also this is a New Game, New Location, New Characters, so I see no Reason to IMPORT.

Really, it does you no good to continue ranting about it at this time. The Keep hasn't even been released to the public yet and they are still working on it. Let me say it again: they are still working on it.

Just because the developers haven't come in here and addressed your specific concerns doesn't mean they aren't aware of them. Neither does it mean that they don't care about your issues or that they don't value you as a customer. In the interview Fernando even said that they are investigating other options to the drawback of an internet connection. You will just have to be patient and wait, like everyone else.

You don't seem to know what "cloud-based" means, so don't worry about it. I don't understand why you think you won't be able to use the Keep. If you can use these forums, you can obviously use a website. The Keep is a website. So, you can use it. It may be slow, but then I expect everything else is too?

If the issue is connecting your PS3 to the internet - well you've already talked about taking it to a relative's house with WiFi - that will solve the problem. You only need to connect once at the start of the game to import a state from the Keep (as far as we have been told), and that's not a process that should take too long even with a slow connection.
