It could very well be. I doubt Hawke and the Warden would sit on their asses when the Fade spills into the world. Still. The warden could also just feature as the leader of a "warden faction" in the game. As someone you need to do quests for to gain as an ally etc.

This is exactly what I was hoping for.
Thank you BioWare, it's a great idea.
edit: However, I wonder if we'll still be able to import our save if we're keeping the same console (Xbox360 to Xbox360, PS3 to PS3 and PC to PC).
I'm going to say that from now on we will import save into The Keep and from there populate/generate the new games world state that will be imported into new games.
It actually allow BioWare to fix import bugs too...

It would be lovely to see my main Warden as an agent, but I don't think the GW we keep seeing is our GW.

Or... The Warden and Hawke could be our agents
You know...I think you just might be spot on. The agents come with the keep, no? I belive they said that in the video earlier. And you get to "design" both of them in the keep. Fits.

When will the actual thing will be avaliable however?
"Starting today, you can visit the Dragon Age Keep and register for its beta, set to kick off early next year. We’re eager
to hear your feedback and get your impressions before it launches publicly in 2014. The Keep will be available to everyone a few months before DAI gets released, in order to give fans plenty of time to experiment with scenarios and make their history exactly how they want."

Yeah, they didn't give the details. Can't wait to learn more...thats1evildude wrote...
Interesting! But I'm not sure how this'll work with consoles.

And I may play Origin one more time , because I kind of miss it but that's it .
I only have two characters (same with Da2) and they took almost all the same decision.
So in theory it's possible to start a character from scratch and write his/her story with the Keep ...
I may finally have some kind of villain pc save.

I think it will work fine because you'll still have an origin account. And just like we could see our progress for ME3 online, we'll be able to transfer information from the Keep to the consoles. Not sure how they'll deal with people without internet connections- however small that gaming population may be- but who knows, maybe we can save it onto something and hook that up to the console?

I'd much rather have an in-game way to do this exact same thing than a cloud server. How long will this server be up? Five years from now? Ten? This pretty much has put a shelf life on how long you can enjoy the DA games with imported saves.

if they could make it so we could download the file from the cloud for safekeeping and use it on our console/pc.
it's still online dependant but at least your world-state is safe as an independent file.
maybe bioware or a modder could make an offline version down the line.

Console have USB port so maybe you will be able to download the generated file on your PC and than transfer it on your console.
