Like seriously, how can they do that? Does Viacom own EA and Bioware?
Is it just me or is that company getting out of control?

The tyranny, right? If they want to advertise their product then there's going to be rules in place.

Unfortunately since Viacom produced the video they have the final say on when or if it gets to be reproduced on other sites.

There are worse things going on in the world than viacom taking videos off youtube. You can view it elsewhere bro.

Yeah but if it wasnt for Mass Effect 2, Viacom wouldn't even have program to put up.
I just hate it when companies pull **** like that

You can download HD on gametrailers.com too. I prefer quicktime movies myself.

If you put a billboard on my land, and someone else steals that billboard, I have the right to reposess it. Too bad, so sad. Life goes on and a company has the rights to their shows over the rights of the people who own the product displayed on the show. Was this in Bioware's official channel? How bout EA's? If it wasn't then there's no point in even bringing them up. If it was then they didn't ask for the video rights to put it on YouTube. It's how business works and you getting angry over it is a foolish thing at best. Go watch it at Mass Effect's website or GameTrailers and realize that companies are shockingly enough, out for money. When their private property is posted on YouTube they're losing hits. Less hits means less money from advertisers means less likely they'll be in the black. This isn't an issue of freedom of publishing it's an issue of legal bull****, and in this case, Viacom has the upper hand.

Are we surprised at this point when companies run by men born in the Eisenhower administration fear and rail against new technology that they don't understand?

Give it fifteen years. The Luddites will die off or retire, digital distribution figures will show that exposure of media is good for a company rather than simple theft, and all our televisions will be hooked to the internet anyway, downloading only the shows that we want to see when we want to see them.

Doesnt change the fact that Viacom is a corrput evil company. This isnt the first time they have taken stuff down off youtube... sometimes people's personal videos (but that is entirely different matter)
and you dont think I know how buisness works? This is just pure BS/

Here's someone who understands how it works, and how the future will likely work
