yes and i had to block one of them. he was being creepy, asking me questions like "do you have a boyfriend" "what's your number baby?" ugh... yeah yeah. let's move on please. back on topic.

I know it happens to me all the time. there like hey can i have your number. i wanna wobble your knockers. and i'm like what? i can't hear you, cause i'm deaf I don't feel too bad though. most guys are impressed when they see my fleet of jet planes. I'm also a fighter pilot.

One Gold+ you ought to strap on at least one consumable. Otherwise you're an a*s. Make a token effort to compete and put on some cryo ammo, ffs.

Even power heavy classes like asari adepts will help the team by strapping on a bit of ammo or a amp of some kind.

You have thousands of consumables? What are you saving them for, to sell on Ebay?

Anything you can accomplish without can be accomplished easier and quicker with, leading to more matches, which leads to more credits.

"I'm so good I don't need" is an absurd argument covered on this forum many times.

By this logic, why do you use your characters skill points? You should leave them unspent, because you are good enough to win with only 2 skill points spent period ... this is the same logic as not using consumables .. deliberately gimping yourself.

Currently, on my al account I only have Disruptor and Phasic rounds, but I use the Asari Valkryie alot .. neither of these ammos has any benefit. But you better believe when I do get a Cryo I ammo, I will use it, and the difference in DPS to armored units is significant.

In reference to the skill points section, if you read my post, you would notice I said temporary bonuses.  Its something I do in every video game.  In fact, mass effect is the only game where I will ever use temporary power-ups.  As I said before, call me odd.  I hate using temporary bonuses that are limited in quantity (yes I have a lot, but its still a finite number).  Something  about relying on another thing that I know I wont always (under every possible circumstance) have, just bugs me.

I will use them in games if others have them on.  I will use them in games on platinum.  I will use them in solos.  But when I play (which is almost exclusively pug), I wont put on consumables.  I will carry them, and use all my rockets, gels, ops packs, and thermal packs (yes, I realize these are limited too, but they just feel like a integral part of the game to me)  to see it to extraction, but I still wont put on consumables. 

I hope I made it clear enough that's its not "I'm so good I don't need" mentality, its just that using it bugs me like crazy,  maybe im slightly OCD, who knows...

Depend on kits and difficulty, so yhea, quit often.

However, i would never, ever step in a game without medigel, missile etc, it's just a question of respect toward the other players; if anything goes wrong for me, i should be able to take responsability.

I am trying to complete apotheosis+ in fe13, but I still refuse to use tiki's tears (which boost all stats for a single match for those that don't know).

Its a quirk, not a good one, but I suppose we all have them.  I understand why you think it could be selfish and scrubby, but I know its different reasons than just being stingy.  Live and let live. 

Edit:  Just FYI, I will put equipment on if others have it on.  If 1 person has equipment, ill put one on.  Two people = two consumables, and same for three.  So I only use no equipment if no-one else is.  Which happens quite a bit since im not selective about the lobbies I join.

I barely ever get enough consumables in packs, and the few times I used them, the group wiped, so I finally stopped using consumables at all.

If I get consumables, its for.stuff I'd never use like smg bonuses.

Now I only use em on platinum.

Same situation here.  I never use consumables outside of platinum, because I can never get enough in packs to warrant actually using them.

 

Especially since i'm switching to PC, and I'm starting over, so I am spending all my money on Reserves and weapons packs instead to build resources back up.

I put stuff on when searching for games, I would almost prefer to drop into GIP so I don't have to see how bad the pugs are. I just assume they all suck so getting GIP or lobby really doesn't matter.

I enjoy dropping in GIP games too, if only for skipping out on all the extra load screens. 

 

I always at least have some level 1-2 consumables on if anything. As losing these is a non-issue anyway (especially on my 360 account where I have top level consumables then I can consume). So it really doesn't make sense to always drop out of GIP games for such a douche reason. Some of the best games are GIP too. Plus when I come in one and hear the constant noise of other players getting downed while my character loads in, I get all excited. Especially if all of them are down. As I'm the riding hero!!! ... So I kill the lone Nemesis and now I'm a hero to my downed members.  Afterwards, things usually go super smooth... well, maybe not so smooth on the PS3   (no frames, super lag incarnate, no HVB  ).

Same....i put on gear and consumables, just not my best high end consumables, but i never search for a game completely dry....some type of ammo power and gear will help me deal with just about any GIP issues....except extreme lag....

Had that happen to me yesterday for only having level 1 stuff for Gold, level 1 weapon, & level 1 Gear. Lucky only one person wanted that kick, because then I couldn't top score and show them all who the scrubs really are.

 

But yeah, Daemion. You only kick because you are the scrub. Pure players only kick super cheese setups.

I don't try to kick no consumable scrubs, I just wait for their inevitable bleedout then Tbag them at every oppourtunity instead of reviving, then tell them to buy some equipment with the credits I just earned for them if they cry about it.

Why yes, yes I have, but so do a frack ton of pugs every.single.day. that I run into them, and I assume many here do also, so it isn't  a big deal.

 

Many players, (read: pugs that people here complain about in how they play the game) dont use any consumables because, a) they dont have any if they are a low level player with no hours put in to speak of and haven't hacked credits (on PC)

 

OR they dont even give a ****, perhaps because now they play the game of "whats the easiest way to get credits if I can count on better players doing all the work that match and my score is meaningless ( which most every single poster here has said). Pugs don't care about score, just credits to buy PSP to better their crappy manifest

 

The down side of this other than any players epeen/edong/edorkiness being adjusted because they extracted and hit payday, is the match usually takes longer to complete, since you are not killing all the things faster than you would if you DID use consumables.

 

Most people do not want to play a gold match that takes more than 25mins, especially when people can do Plat solos in that time, if it does, then its because a good player (possibly a BSN) has had to solo more than 1 wave that extends the time.

 

Outscoring anybody without consumables only proves you had some really bad players with you in that match, but so what? They got the same credits as you did, so who really won the epeen contest? You who had a higher score, or the players who also didnt use consumables but still got the same credits as you did?

 

Haha I played a higher difficulty than I should be playing and got all those lovely credits. Yay ME.  Boring I know, but more than 1 pug has probably said that to himself after extraction of gold or platinum.
