Are we there yet?

Great. We have people admitting sex appeal isn't all about marketing. We're making progress. Let's keep going. What other purpose is there?
Why do you people keep responding to and feeding this fellow? It's an amusing sight, but just stop already, and he'll get bored.

Lots of silly nonsense to try to get attention.

Not resitricted to marketing. Sex appeal is used to generate interest in characters, when some of these characters end up in adverts they simultaniously generate interest in the product.David7204 wrote...

I'm unsure why people are so hostile to this. It's simply confronting the reality that characters in fiction are very often quite attractive.

You're very limited with the fiction you're exposed to then.

Stop replying to him already, gosh. You kids must not understand what 'trolling' is. It's done in other ways besides saying "LOL UMAD"; some trolling is more inconspicuous, but whether you believe me or not, that's up to you, I suppose.

Yep, the damn cameltoe proves it.

It could be worse. They could be posting the picture of the Banshee.
You're going to have to define 'titillation' for me. Is every attractive character in fiction 'titillation'?dreamgazer wrote...

No, it's not threatening to people.
It's also not exactly true. Base titillation is assuredly one of their big drivers.
