I like the excitement of the new game and the goodies you get by pre-ordering. If a Collector Edition is available to me I'll probably get it except I like to wait to order 'til it's closer to release day. I think I will have problems with the gameplay because of the rolling and the harpoon but will learn to use them.
How likely are you to buy DAI ?

I am saving up to $70 so I can buy the game and a DLC. I'm a sucker for the Dragon Age series.

DA team showed that they put lots of efforts in it. Not only going back to some root elements but also expanding the experience gameplay wise. Truly interested to see what awaits. Collector pre-order for sure(if we get one).

As likely as I was earlier; more upbeat after the last couple of months reveals. And I do not consider metacritic relevant to making any game decision.

Yeah, I'm probably going to pre-order. I like the franchise. I can still have fun even if something doesn't live up to my expectations. I am entirely certain there will be characters appearing that I personally don't like (one of them is confirmed already) but that's no reason to hate the game ahead of time. The opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy, and if there's one thing I'm not, it's apathetic.
If the game delivers 80 hours of gameplay for $80, it's a dollar/hour. I'll let you know if I ever find a movie for that kind of bargain. I'm one of those people who like to explore every possible consequence and ending so I'll probably get even more gametime out of it. Even if I'm not entirely thrilled with the execution of the game I'll still have fun. I'm on my umpteenth playthrough of DAO with 6 classes going at once and I have plans to do DA2 again to make an importable save. Tenacious is a good word.

Buying it. Possibly twice.

It is right now sitting at a discount sale, meaning I'll wait until it is like $20-$25.
More information shedding more positive light on the game could shift it to an earlier sale, say $40. But, after DA2 and ME3, I've decided that pre-ordering from BioWare is not a good call for me anymore.
But the chances that I will pick it up to play at some point, and buy not rent or get used, are very high. BioWare, to me, still makes decent quality games overall and, despite some disappointments with DA2 overall, I love the DA franchise, so... yeah, I'm getting it for certain at some point.
It just may end up being months after release.

Waiting for customer/bsn reviews and more information before deciding. But a lot of the information to-date has made me vastly more optimistic, with only one slightly sour note that I can think of.
If I do buy it then I'll either buy new for PC (if no mandatory Origin client) or secondhand for console (mandatory Origin client for the PC version).

Have EA ever let any of their newer AAA titles to go to Steam? I use both Origins and Steam, and they both work find for me. I'm not sure why people dislike it so much, although going by your scenario, the second option is pretty much mandatory then.craigdolphin wrote...

I'm totally going to pre-order the collector's edition. If the words "Dragon Age" weren't enough for me, then what we've seen and heard about the game so far is. What can I say? I'm easy to please.

It all depends on how much money I have to spend at that point. I am still deciding between working or pursuing postgraduate studies..I am leaning towards postgrad simply because I am an academically oriented person...
Which means I will not have the free time to play (since I will be studying, researching, tutoring,etc)..& I won't be having a lot of spare cash to spend on luxuries...
So I will get games..all games...not just DAI when there is a sale...
I am only being practical...

Definitely gonna buy day one or pre-order if they have a nice Collectors Edition. I love BioWare games and DA2 and ME3 are my most played. I don't buy many video games, the last one was "Last of Us". I have my developers and style of games that I will buy day one no matter what anyone else says; I want to form my own opinions and if I don't like it, well ... sucks for me.

I'll wait and see. Wait for player reviews. I sat through ME3 beginning hype and waited for the real reviews which payed off because I decided not to buy the game (because all the issues it had).

The advantage of being European is you can still wait for reviews and buy it as soon as it's available, because it's always later than North America. :S
Not that I wasn't going to get it day 1 anyway, but hey.

As for now, I'm going to pre-order it . I could change my mind if something they'll show from no to release that is very negative to me (at this point the only thing that could change my mind is the combat, which I'm waiting to see how it'll work with a full party) though.

It's always been my tradition to pre-order the deluxe/special edition of Bioware games, so after giving it some thought I decided I'd stick with that for DAI as well.
So far I like what I've heard well enough to forgive the "mediocrity" of DA2 and the absolutely horrible ME3 endings - both games did a lot of things right, ME3 just dropped the ball badly at the moment that it's mostly going to be remembered for and with DA2 I never quite knew why it didn't manage to engage me all that much - though the recycled zones were certainly part of it, as were the many cases where Hawke was powerless to change something.
Third time's a charm right?

Will definately preorder the game on Origin when it's possible, that has always been my intention even before this month of information from Bioware and Gameinformer. I liked both DAO and DA2, so no reason not to continue the story of Thedas

Right now, given the information that's been released, I'm 100% likely to pre-order DA:I next year. However, if new information becomes available that in my perspective would be a crazy bad deal-breaker (e.g. "We are announcing that we are getting rid of voice acting in this game!" or "Good news everyone! We are pleased to say DA:I is now going to be priced at $300!"), then this percentage could easily change.

I'll buy it. I'll even preorder it. I'm probably going to buy two copies since my husband will want to play it on the ps3/ps4.

I'll probably buy it. If I can afford it, that is. Maybe not right away, but eventually after its release. I don't think I'll preorder this game, but you'll never know
edit: Just gotten a new computer with a decent grapchis card; this means I probably can run the game om my pc.
