I need some concrete info about how they handle classes, specializations and how restricted we are this time around, i need more options.
Bioware will make some design choices, and if i feel restricted like in DA2, then i will be needed to make choices myself. You can't support something forever because it's Bioware.
So, i want to believe that Bio will deliver this time, and i will happily buy it. But we'll see, i'm not getting excited yet.

Have EA ever let any of their newer AAA titles to go to Steam? I use both Origins and Steam, and they both work find for me. I'm not sure why people dislike it so much, although going by your scenario, the second option is pretty much mandatory then.craigdolphin wrote...
Waiting for customer/bsn reviews and more information before deciding. But a lot of the information to-date has made me vastly more optimistic, with only one slightly sour note that I can think of.
If I do buy it then I'll either buy new for PC (if no mandatory Origin client) or secondhand for console (mandatory Origin client for the PC version).
Da2 was originally released on steam. However, EA withdrew it allegedly because of Valve's policies wanting a slice of DLC money for titles sold through their store. Nothing has been released by EA on steam since then as far as I know.
personally, I think EA are just using game exclusivity to foster adoption of origin amd that's a convenient excuse. I'd be fine with that except the eula and tos are unacceptable to me currently. If they stopped giving themselves carte blanche to rifle through my hardrive, application usage history etc, or the right to withdraw my paid-for right to play if I disagree with any future, unilateral changes in the EULA then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

that's a tough one:
on the one hand, i love BIOWARE and their games very much (and the Dragon Age franchise is one of my favourites (together with Mass Effect) - and some of the older Games, like KOTOR)
on the other hand, the last two games were a disappointment (DA2 was bad enough, but ME3 was one of the worst games ever (because they promised us things they couldn't keep and the marketing repeated what the devs said)) and some of what i saw in the pre-alpha gameplay on game-informer is not to my liking at all (at least not for Dragon Age...i reminds me too much of "The Witcher 2" - and while i like that, i don't like it nearly as much as the Dragon Age (especially DA:O))
so i haven't 100% decided yet, but i will probably get that (60% ATM and i will follow the news and deliberate this with myself further)
greetings LAX

Yeah, I know, got burned with ME3 but I think I can live with the risk. DA devs seem a lot better and even if it is 1/2 as good as the past 2 games it will be a good game to have,

I'm a whole lot less likely to buy it now after the GI cutting back on romances revelation.
They didn't say romances were being cut back in the article.
There are changes being made. The inquisitors in game actions will determine the flavor of the romance instead of showering the LI with gifts to increase their approval etc. It was stated by the devs that the overall romance content would be staying the same as it has been. No more, no less.
That being said, I will definitely be getting this game. Either pre-order or on release day.
