i wonder how people would react to a warrior inquisitor who takes the templar specialization. If mages get a reaction i think a templar Inquisitor would get one from the opposite side!

but yeah i think being a mage will definetly impact the story, imagine a blood mage inquisitor! i think that it would be...interesting to see the reactions of the people you meet.

If we can become blood mages/spirit healers, I hope we at least get an quest to make an pact with an demon/spirit, rather then instantly gaining this abilities. I also wonder how a mage will lead the Inquisition, since I get the feeling it will be mostly based around the seekers of truth.

I think I remember the devs talking about specializations, and for the life of me, I can't remember where. I think what they said was that we'd only have one specialization this time, but we go through a quest line to learn that specialization and abilities, so I think what your specialization is will have an effect, even if it is only minor, in the grand scheme of things.

Hm. I remember reading about that. I hope that they bring back the Keeper specialization. I think it would be neat if my Inquisitor was an elven mage that gained the respect of a Keeper to learn it.

I am crossing my fingers that it will have some effect. It was stated that your race would have an effect so I would hope your class would as well. I am also very curious as to how the mage will come to lead the Inquisition of any origin.

Mage is always my main Character for Dragon Age. I want to see what impact for the game if they have 2 previous Hero Who is mage. and now The New leader is mage too!!

Vastly different? Probably not. Greater impact than in previous games? I think so. =)

It's the same with non-humans, really. I think they've taken the criticisms of not having enough reaction to heart (especially since it's been a consistent criticism since DA:O), whether it be dwarf or elf or mage, and vowed before that class would have a greater impact and then that race would have a greater impact once they brought it back, so I'm hopeful. =)

I don't think it will be a big thing.

The inquisitor will probably untouchable because of the organisation he/she belongs in (so templars can't exactly murder you in the street).

I think it will go something like this:
If you're an elf the dalish are nice to you but nobles treat you like dirt
if you're a dwarf and go to Orzammar they will treat you like an outcast
If you're a mage other mages will be nicer to you and templars more hostile.

Yes it will have an impact on the story and how characters react act to you and each combination of race+class+specialization will have different pros and cons due to the reactivity system they are implementing and I quote" Specialization will have unquie mid game reactivity".

Factions will treat you different if you are a human mage than if you were an elven mage that uses blood magic if that's going to return, how much of impact depends on how well they implement this system and the different variables to are included in it since David Gaider said it will have way more content then races.
