IF shepard is female then yes. There are NO same gender romances in ME2. This is the single best improvement made on the game from ME1 to ME2. Here's hoping that we never see another same gender romance in any videogame ever again. Maybe then we can finally all focus on fully outlawing same-gender relationships in all forms of entertainment and in the real world.
I'm entitled to express my opinion on the matter.
Except making such inflammatory statements against others sexual orientations is against the Rules of Conduct.
Such a typically primitive console gaming mind-set, displayed prominently by Darth_Trenton. Take notes everybody.

I'm pretty sure only FemSheps can go for dudes. Probably so that they don't alienate their more homophobic customers.
I really hope that I'm wrong though.
I don't think it's so much that as they didn't have a character that would fit the role.
I don't like the idea of Bioware FORCING homosexual and heterosexual relationships into the game, if a character's primary purpose is to be a "Homosexual love interest" rather than a "cool character with a possible love interest" 'I'd be awfully upset.
tbh I'd expect the same for heterosexual love interest as well. I don't know much about the love interest in ME2 (No spoilers please) but I'll be royally pissed if we start having alien orgy's in the FTL Briefing room without a damned good reason.
Already seems like Bioware is playing it fast and loose with the fiction, it'd be a shame for them to go the route of Battlestar Galactica where they introduce stuff based on how cool it is and then hastily try to explain it later.

Now who is stereotyping? Frankly, I believe this argument has ran its course, let the Moderation team sort it out.

"outlawing same-gender relationships in all forms of entertainment and in the real world."
You are clearly getting this mind-set form some form of hatred. To state to want to forcefully prevent others from enjoying a certain freedom is a pretty hateful thing.
If you sincerely think that doing so is "improving" the world, then you are purely trolling (intentionally or not). That is a mind-set fitting to places like Saudi Arabia and other primitive theocracies, where homosexuality literally is illegal.

Edit: Done, for both femshep and maleshep. Let me know if it works. It uses save 99 under the default names, so make sure it doesn't overwrite anything important.

Absolutely everyone is entitled to their own opinions, however Hate Speech -is- against the forum terms of use. There are certainly better ways of expressing views than being intentionally disrespectful of those of others.

That's your assumption. As I said I do not hate them. I simply seek beeter and more enjoyable games. As for the real world same-gender relations are against my religious beliefs so it has nothing to do with any kind of hate.

When did I accuse anybody of stereotyping? That was just a little prod to test his resolve.
To think that homosexual relations should be illegal are litterally primitive ideals held by primitive nations under theocratic rule (ie: Saudi Arabia).
Not like this thread was going anywhere, but I agree, I'll just let moderation sort this out.

And the game would be better to you just because a purely optional homosexual romance was removed? Does homosexuality bother you so much that even knowing that it's a choice diminished your experience so much?
OK, I can see what kind of person I'm dealing with here. I have no interest to further discussing anything with such bigotry.

You're allowed to have any beliefs you want, but when you express them in an obviously dickish way, it's hate speech. Period.

A lot of people are saying there won't be any gay romances in this one, but I have never seen any evidence of this.
They have said there won't be any lesbian romances in ME2 in the same breath that they said there were no lesbian romances in ME1, though many people consider femshep/liara to be a lesbian pairing.
Nothing has been said to my knowledge about maleshep/male pairing. It is possible, and given the Zevran option in Dragon Age, and many other Bioware games, it is clear that Bioware is willing to provide a gay male option.
It really is no consolation to gamers looking for a "true" lesbian romance in ME2, but at least we know Liara will be back as an NPC, so any relationships from the previous game are going to carry over.
However, given that they have said that femshep/asari pairings are not lesbian, those that disagree may still pin some hopes on a femshep/Samara pairing as ME2's "lesbian" option.
So I think it is very premature to say that ME2 is not going to have any gay options. If anyone has any evidence to the contrary, let me know.

Not a knock on console gamers per se, but "primitive" console gamers. I myself am a console gamer (and a PC gamer).

There's a difference people, just because you view something as morally right does not mean someone else does. If you disagree with him then just ignore him or politely debate with him.(although I doubt Bioware would like such discussion here) b
