Lots of tranquil don't want to go back, like Owain. I imagine it would be the opposite of the situation with the krogan.
Do you guys think the veil tear will affect tranquil mages?

It is possible, but with the magi in possession of a cure for tranquility it is no longer relevant. All the tranquil could be cured by the time of DAI.

It's been a while since I read Asunder, but I was under the impression the whole process of reversing the state of being tranquil was a bit too tricky and time consuming to be able to achieve on any kind of wide scale.

I agree. The process to undo Tranquility seemed to take some time, to coax a spirit across the Veil to touch a Tranquil's mind. But with the Veil tearing, I can easily see Tranquility being reversible. However, I got the sense that the Veil tears just as DAI begins so I don't think all tranquil will be cured by the time the game actually begins.discosuperfly wrote...

*Asunder spoilers!*
It took long to figure out the ritual, but the ritual itself was not described as something too hard. It was in fact stated that any mage, that is skilled in spirit school of magic (like spirit healer or medium) can easily attract the spirit (if lucky, could be demon as well). Also it's entirely possible to avoid the possession, if 'untranquilled' mage is strong enough to resist temptations. It's been a while since I read Asunder, but I was under the impression the whole process of reversing the state of being tranquil was a bit too tricky and time consuming to be able to achieve on any kind of wide scale.

the question is:
does he really not want to go back, or is tranquility affecting people so much, that they think they don't want to go back (the tranquil Anders wants to save was not sounding like he hated what he has become when you first talk to him and he reveals that he was there to lay a trap for Anders...I mean, later when he was able to feel again he begs people to KILL him!!!)
