There's a lot of chat about the companions in DA: Inquisition... Yet I haven't seen anyone wanting a Darkspawn companion... I mean, it would be awesome to have some badass awakaned darkspawn fighting with you.

The disciples proved in Awakening to be very tough and intelligent. And while some of them don't know better and are crazy or just violent, there's disciples like The Messenger who is a straight edge good guy.

I wish the developers one day explore this path... It will certainly be awesome to go to the Weisshaupt fortress or Minrathous with a hurlock sidekick. It will certainly blow their minds, like when you arrive to the quarian flotilla with Legion by your side.

We must've been on very different forums if you haven't seen the requests. I even made one.

Theres been plenty of request for Darkspawn companion. ^^; Maybe you just haven't noticed them since they're usually bumped down quickly. : )

I'm neither for or against it, with that being said!

The concept always falls apart because the darkspawn corrupt regular people with their very presence. Legion didn't kill Commander Shepard just by being in close proximity to him/her.

Someone always floats the idea of anti-corruption potions or some other handwave, but if you have to bend over backwards to accomodate a certain companion, then maybe said companion isn't such a great idea after all.

I'm curious as to why people think "the Messenger" was a good person. He only helps you defend Amaranthine if you coerce him into doing so, and he spreads  the taint wherever he goes in the aftermath of Awakening. You know nothing of his past; he might have been in charge of kidnapping subjects for the Architect's experiments on the taint.
