In the Combat of Dragon age video, the devs talk about how the new combat system will be more about timing. I'm a little alarmed by this. I like to pause, issue command, do everything slowly... what i do not like is tedious micromanagement and things that requite timing.
The thing that worries me the most is this new harpoon ability. In the video we see that this ability needs to be aimed. AIMED!? How do you suppose I'm gonna drink coffe, eat biscuits, work out my shake-weight and aim at the same time? I'm a lazy gamer. I don't run around aiming at ****.
The problem with having to aim is that you can only give each party member a single command. Therefore you can only micromange one of them at a time. The gameplay shouldn't be so complicated that I can't optimally control all my partymembers at the same time.
The harpoon also creates an interesting question. Is the PC going to have his own impentrible shield? If not, then why not?
Timing, micro-management and aiming.

I could be wrong here, but I believe one of the devs was also surprised that the video showed 'aiming' and said something to the effect that it would not be aimed. That the video was simply showing an early build so far and targeting hadn't been fully implemented yet.
I believe in the final game, you won't have to actually aim at a selected target.
