It's random. Anything between 2000 and 16000 from what i've seen. There is also inheritance/birthright kits which are like a big you lose.

Thats not alot tbh.

16000 is what I can easily make of junk items on those higher worlds.

Adaptive is all I use these days.
I'm mostly spending money on cartel armor sets. Got Mando clan armor for my BH, Rascal for my Smuggler and Reaver for my SW and SI.

Those are very nice sets. Kudos.

Shae Vizla armor is my ultimate goal.

But the prices are too high for my taste on the GTN :P

All those can be bought with credits off GTN too. All my characters have hide helms that I bought off there. Many cartel items are on there. Expensive as **** though.

Ahhh.. Wow I feel pretty silly then.

I think I'll still buy but it makes me slightly hate EA less.

For my part, I've started using Legacy sets when I have two different characters that share stats. That way, I can, say, send the Legacy armour my Consular healer is wearing to my Sorcerer healer, and I keep enhancing it via Ops. Thus, I don't duplicate effort to build same-stat characters.

I dont really get that logic. In the end wether you go with sub or not, you still end up using those 100$.

And you get alot more benefits as a sub.

The logic here is I want to keep my perks for years later without paying over 300$

But at the same time I see your point. I want to play/talk with my friends and rp when times are tough (AND THEY ALWAYS ARE) where I am at and can't afford the monthly.

What is the advantage of adaptive armour sets?

Do they still need to be modded and enhanced as you level?

You puts mods in them, which allows you to wear the set for the entire game.

You also only need to buy some new mods every 10 levels or so.

Not really. Since you can fill up your inventory with them. It's largely just for cash transfers for not Sub's.

They work the same as any other orange armor sets, with the exception that there's no light/medium/heavy or class restrictions to them, everyone can wear adaptive gear and the armor values will adapt depending on your class. If you equip a set of adaptive gear on a Sage it'll count as light armor, but equip the same set on a Guardian and the armor value will be that of heavy armor.

My SW is essentially Vader -- Dispatches any Jedi or insubordinate fools while occasionally letting useful tools live like the one Jedi on Belsavis.

In regards to the Adaptive Armour, I'd really like Mira's set... I love everything about her character from KOTOR 2 and would love her outfit too for my Smuggler.

Her set cost quite a pretty penny on the GTN.

And yeah, I really liked Mira too.

I may or may not have that set. I admit nothing! xD

The Mantellian Privateer set is quite similar. Perhaps it's cheaper?

Yeah 9 times out of 10 the armor sets that I'd really want end up being absurdly pricey on the GTN. Still haven't managed to complete my Classic Despot set, and I've had most of it for like 3 years on both my SW and SI, but neither have the helmet. At least if I can somehow finally find it so either one of them has the full set I can unlock it through the collections with some cartel coins and transfer unlimited copies to any of my alts. It looks great on both of the Jedi-turned-Sith-apprentice companions Ashara and Jaesa.

And how absurdly expensive are those primary black or black/black dyes? Geez. I'd really want a black Humble Hero set for both my Shadow and my Assassin if I get around to leveling him more.

Daily reminder that we got this game instead of Kotor 3, and that the world is lesser for it. Carry on.

I disagree. First off Baras is introduced early and lasts the entire questline. He is not strong with the force, and that is why i like him. His lack of force power does not stop him from going as high as the Dark Council. He is intelligent, and he knows how to use his assests, you included. His biggest fault in the game is betraying us, and letting Quinn live. Because we had no plan to do the same, atleast not dialogue wise. And Quinn found loyalty in us. Though he needed Quinn to spy on us. He wanted the pre-emptive strike, but he underestimated us and it became his undoing.

How early he's introduced makes no difference. It just means we have to suffer him for longer. Everything we see Baras do fails.
Trying to break a simple SIS agent- fails
Trying to kill you- fails
His plan to trick the Dark Council- doomed from the start.

He can't take credit for your training because he never provides any. You're his tool, throughout (and later you become someone else's tool but that's another discussion.) And the notion that he lacks Force power and got to where we was on intelligence alone is ridiculous. He's not terrible in supporting material, being able to fool Satele Shan into thinking he's lightside for example. But everything we see of him in-game is laughable.

And unlike a bond villain he does not tell us his plan from the get go.

But just like a Bond villain, he "kills us" in a manner more escapable than putting his fat ass in a gingerbread house. A cave in to kill a Sith Lord? Are you kidding me?

My problem with Darth Thanaton is that he is introduced to late in the questline to have the same impact as Baras. He is without a doubt a strong force user, capable with the lightsaber and good at Sith Politics. The power struggle between him and the Inquisitor is amazing when on screen, but its to little to late.

The difference is Thanaton is actually threatening. And unlike Baras' inexplicable failure his plans would've worked if it weren't for Kallig having ghosts to watch his back. The first trap in the tomb? We would've been dead if the original Kallig hadn't intervened. When we face him at the end of Act 2? Still would've killed our ass if not for the ghosts. Act 3, we curb stomp him but he doesn't go down like a ******. And he never calls for help like Baras either. Even when things are clearly against him he threatens revenge. Everything about Thanaton from threat level and competence to his defeat and subjugation is extremely satisfying (except maybe that Ravage snaps his neck, but you could argue he's already so beneath you that directly killing him is no longer required). Baras on the other hand I can't muster anything but contempt or laughter for (or at).

Jadus is not a proper sith, he is a horrible human beeing. To get more into what a proper Sith and Jedi is like we have to go into every little detail. Lets just say that both the Sith Code and Jedi Code is stupid. Gray is the only thing that works. See Luke Skywalker or Lightside Sith Warrior for a good example.

Thats my thoughts on it anyway.

lol, were you under the impression that Sith were cuddly? Other than Malgus I would argue he's the only Sith that exhibits any worthy claim to the name. Being Sith is more than just having a red lightsaber and going "rawr kill everything". Sith seek unlimited freedom through absolute power. They don't bend the knee and stagnate.

Though if you think Light Side Sith are a good idea I can tell we're never going to agree.

About the outfit designer... after adding gear to one of the outfit tabs and saving it, do you need to keep that gear around in your inventory for it to be actually visible in the created outfit or can you stuff it in your ship's storage and it'll still work?

Last night I sold the chestpiece I was wearing as an outfit because I was going to switch it anyway. It didn't disappear off my character. I switched it to my new chestpiece shortly thereafter so I don't know if it would've disappeared after a time or on next logout though. Take that as you will. Experiment with some trash gear to find the limits if you want.
