Daily reminder that we got this game instead of Kotor 3, and that the world is lesser for it. Carry on.

 

Yeah. We just got 8 different storylines some of which is the best writing Bioware has ever done. I am fine with this.

I just found out that the Imperial Agent writer is gonna work on Knights of the Fallen Empire.

This makes me even more excited!

Too bad it's gated behind a monthly subscription and hours of mmo grinding.

 

You can alleviate one or the other these days but not both.

 

Still, the stories are pretty awesome.

Ehhhhhhhhhhh, don't quite agree. Would have preferred KOTOR 3 myself but definitely not by BioWare -- I'm fine with SWTOR.. but not THAT fine.

You don't play SWTOR for the gameplay that's for sure. Hell I usually just play FP's while watching stuff and then speed through the planetary and class missions with zero trouble.

Oh i'm talking about a Bioware Kotor 3 which is what most people are talking about when they bring up Kotor 3. An Obsidian Kotor 3 I would sacrifice puppys for.

Ugh... the usual problem for me while creating a new Togruta:

 

Do I want to play on the Imperial side, where I like the class stories better, but dislike the fact that every sidequest ever is "GENOCIDE THE HELL OUT OF THIS PLACE!", or do I play Republic, where I dislike most of the class stories (HAVE YOU HEARD WHAT THIS CARD CARRYING VILLAIN DID?!), but like the general atmosphere.

 

*sigh* Malgus... why didn't you let me join your empire?

I already think it's contrived what with apparently another explicably powerful empire hiding in the shadows where no one thought to check, swoops in and beats everyone up, with this upcoming expansion -- It's like that Yuuzhan Vong all over again.

That only emphasizes the point more than diminishing it -- Why is it the first time we are hearing of this inexplicable empire that nobody knew about until they invade? How did they come about getting this powerful without leaking hints to the Sith or the Republic? It's a load of contrivance, fiddled together about as smoothly as a colony of Octopi going through the wood chipper, along the lines of that whole Vong arc in the Expanded universe.

Thats what the 12 xp boost is for

You can play empire, but you can skip all those genocide quests, like all of Taris.

Yes, thanks to the XP boost, I can safely skip picking up 12 Jawa buttocks for some Imperial officer ******, and skip straight to the interesting planet story quests and class stories.

Actually a good point. When the boost ends I'm already in the Empire where Darth Marr calls the shots and not in the "For teh lulz" Empire of the Emperor anymore.

Also she's genuinely hilarious. And my inquisitor is badly in need of a dark side apprentice romance option. She'd be better than Jaesa too.

Bah. He's a better politician than he is a Sith. I don't dislike him. But I think he's overrated.

Marr is basically Maglus 2.0. He's just changing the Empire from within, without starting a civil war. Otherwise bigotry, racism and infighting will be the Empires downfall.

She was your everyday Sith warrior that has come across a million times in the SW universe.

 

Guess people just like her cause she looks hot or something. At least that is a reason that I tend to stumble upon.
