"Only a Sith de---" "Actually No that would be an absolute. Look Anakin it's pretty obvious Big Pappa Palpatine has done a number on your noggin. So we're gonna have to fight, but I feel really bad about this."

You gotta understand that Obi wan didnt meet awesome sith like Marr.
I bet he would totally join if Marr was around as well
Yeah! GoodGuyMarr is a man of the people! Not some pretentious and haughty faction boss with custom armor!

what does 'light side' even mean to you in this context
if it means 'well-meaning ascetic pacifist beyond the level of even the Jedi Order' then yeah I could see your point but otherwise...
At the general level it would seem that is not the case. People claim light side Sith isn't the same as vapid, quote-spouting Jedi (not that I see all Jedi that way either) and it's sort of true. But at the individual decision level, it still boils down to "be nice and cuddly to everyone you meet" vs "kill everyone and boil their children". In other words your typical false dichotomy moral choice system.
I try to look at it from more of a lore perspective. The Empire is a brutal, cutthroat, racist, xenophobic society where only (Force) power really matters. Just thinking in mundane terms most people should be power-hungry, backstabbing assholes, simply by being a product of their environment. Whether you're a slave whose been beaten down most of his life or a high-born with immense pressure to thrive, I just don't find it likely that these individuals would turn out to be any kind of balanced. Obviously there's exceptions. But probabilities favor being "dark".
Then there's the becoming Sith, who are historically known to take that stuff to supernatural levels. We're Force-sensitive and surrounded by the dark side. If it's so easy to fall that Jedi only train infants, wall themselves from all emotion and don't like spending too much time in dark side places, how the hell are we expected to keep it straight and not immediately default to the dark side after being raised in this environment and being actively encouraged to do so on pain of death?
There are more things I could say on the nature of Sith themselves but I'll just leave it at that. Again not saying it's impossible, just improbable.
He... Lord Devorous would probably a good buddy for my Warrior. Darth Annihilatus, Wrath of the Emperor. How does that sound on the "Over-the-Top" scale for Sith names?
Sure. But what is THE Sith way? I'm pretty sure that you could ask 10 Sith and would get 10 answers. They don't seem to know themselves. Some grab the villain ball and run with it, while others work for the betterment of the Empire and so forth.
Nice.
The Sith way is the Sith Code. It is true that few follow it properly.
Nah man. I win.
All my characters are variations of the same barely popular snack food.
My agent was named after the French version of ice tea (specifically the ice part). It turned out to be a different sounding version of a common name- so pretty much win.
I still think it's kind of funny that the only character who DOESN'T follow my theme naming and was created as a "Meh go for it" alt ended up being my main character.
Entirely because it turns out I'm actually REALLY good at being a Marauder.
I have a level 23 sith sorcerer who I left on Nar Shaddaa, and it has been close to a year or so since I've even touched this game. Now all this new stuff is coming out and all these incentive deals, and it tempts me to play again.
But its like, I have forgotten everything of how to play well. Not only that, my entire build after researching a bit and finding out some stuff was patched, is now all wrong. And I gotta go fix it by, hopefully, undoing all of my skill point placements.
Should I just make a new character from scratch or try and salvage this one?
I'm about to finish Chapter 1 with my Marauder. I started as a thoroughly DS character through Korriban and Dromund Kaas, then made some LS choices in Nar Shaddaa and when I got to Tatooine I decided to switch paths and embraced my LS counterpart. It's really satisfying when Jaesa tries to read you in Hutta and she concludes she can't guess your intentions because you embody both the dark and the light. I was even able to tell her that I had walked both paths (like Revan) so I counselled her to remain in the light. All in all, I think this turned out pretty well.
Think I'll reinstall the game today. Will post some pics of my Sith Warrior.
Sure. But what is THE Sith way?
Generally, it is "my way".
The answer is just sprinkled with some technicalities, unnecessary fluff and a plethora of complex words to make it sound more valid than it really is.
"From my point of view the jedi are evil!"
Oh, finally I have a chance to post this!

Smooth.
Yeah. Go SW.
I would really like to get back to playing my Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior but I am so sick of force users at the moment. They just keep screwing up the galaxy for everyone else. I really enjoyed the Bounty Hunter and Smuggler stories since you get to troll force users, and show that their rigid views are their downfall. I just wish the shadow of revan and rise of the emperor did not feel like they were written with the Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior in mind. I kinda head canon it that my BH and smuggler are force-sensitive but follow neither code and drew the emperor's attention. I hope knights of the fallen empire doesn't feel the same.
My other gripe with the SW is I WISH I could kill Quinn or at least kick him off my ship.

You used to be able to before stupid bioware fans fucked it up.

I would've preferred that conversation. I'm certain Anakin would've been confused and then 3PO could've tackled him from behind.
I guess i'll share picture of mine too.
My turn then!
Sith Warrior/Juggernaut
Bounty Hunter/Pyrotech
Sith Inquisitor/Sorcerer
Imperial Agent/Operative
Jedi Consular/Sage
Jedi Knight/Guardian
Smuggler/Gunslinger
Commander She... errr Trooper/Commando
Aha... a bit of "Show me yours, I'll show you mine". Okay... I'll join in.
Just my two main chars for now.
My Inquisitor. The guy lost quite a few bits and pieces on his way to the top of the food chain. The jaw, an eye, the hands, the right leg... but who needs that stuff anyway, when you can just replace them?
My smuggler. He's trying to enhance his bestial cathar appearance with his armor. After all: Why fight if you can scare the enemy into submission?
