Consular was the only class that I actually bothered getting to max level before getting horribly bored of the game. Loved the mystery and being part of so many events that didn't involve action but instead diplomacy and such.

It's also considered the worst story line because bioware fans.
My issue with the consular story is the same issues I had with both JK and inquisitor. First, Consular like jK comes waaaay off as a sue who gets too many thing handed to them (unlike the agent or SW who worked hard for everything they did) it also has ALOT of dead spots where nothing happens or worst, the consular Hoth mission that was complete and utter filler. Inquisitor suffers from this same issue(and a host of its own issues)
So not only does consular get JKs sue status, but also suffers from Inquisitors dead spots in the story. Thus it's in the bad tier in my eyes. Overall I put the stories into three tiers.
bad: JK, consular, inquisitor
enjoyable: trooper, bounty hunter
best: sith warrior, agent and smuggler

I think you can easily work around that, just as much as you can be a Chiss Jedi -- The backstory alludes to that the Voss has encountered the Jedi before.
One thing I hope they do when they pack up the game (and I hope they know when to pack up the game and it isn't a case of "welp we ran out of money, peace") is they make a specific reference to the Chiss backing out and going back to do their own thing. By the time of the movies the Ascendancy doesn't even know there's a Republic. That can work if they just forget about it in the 3000 years period in between but not if they keep hanging around.

Are you kidding me? The SW gets preferential treatment right out of the gate with an Overseer practically kissing his boots and calling him the second coming of Exar Kun. It's the exact opposite of the Inquisitor who starts off a slave and constantly gets obstacles in his way because Harkun's playing favorites with another. And once they're off Korriban the Warrior continues to be a tool (literally a tool of various Sith) for his entire storyline while the Inquisitor actually progresses in true Sith fashion.
I don't think the Knight and Consular get many things handed to them either. Consular is made out to be a Force prodigy even in the opening crawl and the Knight meeting with Satele when he's only a learner are a bit special snowflake-y but otherwise they earn what they get.
Otherwise here's my thoughts on the class stories:

Unlike the Jedi Council, the Dark Council IS the Empire. Yeah, I enjoyed it-- I do get the sheer bloody-minded ardousness of the whole process of collecting this and collect that, throughout all of it, which dragged it down a bit. Hated the fact that they changed the scene of Ashara from the beta. Originally, you'd be torturing/manipulating her to kill a defenseless Sith.

Not really. While true he had a silver spoon on Korriban, that changed when Darth Barres set his eyes on him and the sW was forced to prove himself, which he did time and time again. Alot of the manipulation SW did was by his own mind, Quinn and Barres while helped started to dwarf in comparison. There's also the fact he gained the respect of several high ranking sith lords including Marr. There's also the matter with Jaessa that was up to the player and how they handled it could have very well made him infamous with both jedi and sith, and that was all him. No prophecy, no chosen one status. Just him using the tools and resources he had.
On the other hand, JK had the silly prophecy and chosen one status which has been rebuked(and thank god)

Well except for Agent, since most people that I've seen tend to be in unision that it is the best (appart from some "it is overrated" comments). But the rest of the classes... sheesh. Would love to play them all and get a proper grasp myself, but that is a time consuming venture that I don't see myself doing. There is YT, but what is the fun in that.

Well if anything that I've learned from viewing forums, so many people have a divided opinion on basically all the class stories, which ones are the good ones and bad ones.

Only problem with agent is the post act 3 content. Because agent had so many different ending and the writer leaving, Bioware had no choice but to retcon all endings but one and force you into that outcome. Which sucks.

Depends on the server too. I know for US, Harbinger is always active so getting into flashpoinits or even pops is very very easy. Where if your not on a good pop server, you'll have issues.

Another thing to do is grab legacy gear, then just do ops, FPS and dailys with your main toon and then just get the gear for your other toon and send the stuff via your legacy gear. My trooper was my main toon for a long time so I would always send my warrior good gear.

You gain 12x xp on class stories now. There's no need for grinding since every class story quest gives up to 200000 xp or something.
Talking about gear.

I can't play preferred status. Probably because I played at launch and got too used to the goodies and bonuses.

Completed the Smuggler story!
Choose the darkside ending.
I absolutely loved playing him alot more darkside than usual. Really a mix of Spike Spiegel/Jack Sparrow.

Underlined: Care to explain how? And in the case of "gaining respect of Sith Lords" who, besides Vowrawn (Marr is impressed with both Warrior and Inquisitor so let's just leave him be for now)? The Jaesa thing I'll give you, though it really should've been part of the inquisitor storyline as they are made to be the quintessential Sith Lord, corrupting others and biding them to their will.
Otherwise you do realize the difference between vision and prophecy right? There is no "chosen one" in this era, Scourge having a vision was only there to bolster the game as was the entire Revan novel. That and "always in motion, the future is". One wonders what would've happened if Scourge hadn't had his vision or hadn't acted on it. Maybe Revan would've won. Regardless if that's your only beef with the Knight, I'm sorry you're so easily repulsed.
Would love to play them all and get a proper grasp myself, but that is a time consuming venture that I don't see myself doing. There is YT, but what is the fun in that.
Sub for a month get 12xp. You can easily get through the remaining stories in that time (how many do you have left)?
That's only if you sub which I refuse to do out of pettyness.
I hate the idea of sub'ing as well but if you treat it as a discrete cost (I'll only go for this long for these benefits and it'll cost this much) it's not so bad. In theory anyway. I know I've dropped too much money on this damn game already. I guess it's a slippery slope at best.

Really a mix of Spike Spiegel/Jack Sparrow.
Nice. I worked some Jack Sparrow in myself. My smuggler's kinda goofy and gets into shenanigans and always looks to scam chumps. But in the end he randomly does the right thing and just shrugs whimsically and says it's all part of the adventure.
"Me? I'm dishonest. And you can always trust dishonest people to be dishonest".
But he also has a darker side. Remember those droid eye implants? Bad story how he got those. Betray him and leave him to die and the goofiness stops. Then he gets serious and channels the sentiment from the third movie where Jack's stuck in the Locker and stabs one of his doppelgangers.
On being too lenient:
"Shall I? *stabs doppelganger* That's what got us into this mess."
Plus, with the smuggler, no one forgets to call him "Captain" ![]()
