I really liked that bit. I love how my BH can be massively apologetic on the Black Talon.

Oh man... the Black Talon.

DS Player: "CAPTAIN! You will not attack that frontline battleship with your tiny transporter?! IS THAT FEAR I SMELL?! TIME TO DIE!"

Me: *facepalm*

DS Player: "WHY IS EVERYBODY DEAD? JUST BECAUSE I EXECUTED THE EXPERIENCED CAPTAIN AND ORDERED EVERYBODY ON A SUICIDE RUN WITH THE THREAT OF DEATH-NOW INSTEAD OF DEATH-LATER? WHO CARES ANYWAY?! HARHARHAR!"

Me: *double facepalm* "Aaaand another ship and crew wasted that could have helped in the war."

Is it true that in the "vanilla" shall we say TOR, playing a Dark Side JK would make you a Commander instead of a Jedi Master, which was restricted for Light Side players, but due to people complaining, BW made you become a Jedi Master no matter what?

Or is it just a false rumor that I've read?

It's true, you were granted the title of General, the dialogue still mentions it after you beat the story dark side, but you don't get the General title, you get the Jedi Master title instead because a bunch of the people that did the beta were stupid whiners. The beta was a superior experience for the most part.

Back when you could kill companions, Mythic had the plan to make class kits for companions, these kits would be purchasable and you would be able to make any companion take on any role. For example: You could make Vette a healer, so that you wouldn't be gimped if you were to kill Quinn for story or RP reasons. Mythic ended these plans when they cut out killing companions because the majority of the people in the beta killed their companions left and right which made them gimped; they were afraid of having people unsub if this made it to the final game, I guess.

Oh look it's a sarcastic vampire with daddy issues!

Oh look it's a sarcastic Jedi with pseudo-daddy issues!

Everything is daddy issues... eventually.

Man, that Revan fight was awesome. Basically an Operations boss with NPC help.

I disliked the fight quite a bit, for both lore and gameplay reasons. Lorewise, it takes pretty much all major characters of the era or some combination of the galaxy's greatest fighters to take down one guy (who isn't even the resident Eldritch Abomination)? Give me a break. Gameplay wise, it was just a clusterfuck that took too long and the orb thing, while it was different, didn't make much sense.

Yeah. It feels like it was written with the SW in mind.

Haven't done Ziost with the Warrior admittedly, but it felt more geared towards the Knight to me.

Spoiler

Is Twerk, the healing teddy bear worth it?

Treek. And I intensely dislike even the idea of it. Partly because it is a healing teddy bear.

Well... ingame I have never seen a case where it was not Dark Council member > Darth > Lord > Apprentice > Non-Sith.

Having to serve in the Empire as a non force sensitive would enrage me to no end. Being the best strategizing Grand-Moff / General ever will be worth nothing the second the psycho Sith apprentice walks into the scene and demands that you bow to his "ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!" plan.

I wonder if friendly fire "accidents" are common in the Empire. And I'm not talking about the usual Sith schemes.

Agent story!

I haven't played in a long time but the dynamic between the Sith and the military was actually what I enjoyed, and remember the most about, from the Agent story. I really like the Empire, minus the Sith, so I could easily get into roleplaying the same outlook with my agent; paying lipservice and kowtowing to various Sith you encounter in the main story and side quests while secretly despising them.

All the great reasons to hate Sith NPCs also naturally carried over to full-on Dark Side Sith players I had to group with as well.

Wasn't much of a secret when I played the agent, especially by the end.

It would work really well with the Knight too.

What I meant was how I can't see any of the other empire classes do Ziost. Just like how I can't see any republic classes do it either, other than the Knight,

Both the Knight and Warrior are the only ones that have some sort of connection with the Emperor.

Agent story!

Yup, played it and was rather satisfied that I could do something about it.

But we're basically Batman anyway, went openly toe to toe with one of the highest ranking Sith and you just got to look at the reaction of the Dark Council.

I would be more interested if there are common aiming "mistakes" in regular army units.

Officer: "Ooooh noooo trooper! You hit that Sith in the back of his head! What a SHAME!"

Trooper: "Terribly sorry, sir! I was actually aiming for... uuhhh... that womp rat! Yeah, that womp rat over there!"

Playing through that quest with my smuggler was pretty funny. The smuggler himself sounds like he has no idea what he's even doing on Ziost in the first place, let alone taunting the freaking Emperor.

Really the only story that I could not stand on Rishi was the trooper. Even SI story which I'm not too hot on in terms of writing was interesting.

In case people want to have Lance Henriksen narrate some Old Republic lore, I thought I'd post a playlist for the Timeline trailers.

Finished Belsavis Bonus series.

Did all of Section X through once, except the Heroic 4. I did have help from a guildie but didn't realize I needed 3-4 players for the actual completion of the mission. Shucks. But once that's done, the zone will be put on farm.

Started the HK-51 storyline and I guess I'm on my way to finishing it? Only things left:

-Hoth part (working on that now)

-the two flashpoints (might not be hard to get into as a tank and/or with help from other players)

-final mission

Lots of progress!

After this is all done, it is all about:

-Makeb heroics and trying the macrobinoculars and seeker droid storylines

-doing the Rakghoul flashpoints for the first time

-CZ-198 and its flashpoints

-Oricon content

-if I can get a pass for it (I'm unlikely to sub), do the story modes for all Lv 50 and 55 operations

-working on the other 3 (all Imperial) storylines

If I can manage all that within a ~couple months, then sure, maybe I'll actually buy Shadow of Revan. Otherwise, I'll wait til October, subscribe, and get it all included.

Hyped for having HK-51 at last! :)

Yeah, I did the Inquisitor for Ziost Imperial and it felt wrong. My inquisitor definitely does not want the Emperor looking at him too closely. There are plans, you see....

Can't imagine what the non-Force classes would be doing there either. There's strong willed and then there's "did you just resist Cthulu's mind-rape?"

Yup, played it and was rather satisfied that I could do something about it.

I'd want the officer to be glib about it. My agent would.

"Well, private, by their own rules, the Sith should've been strong enough to take it, or get out of the way. So really, we did them a favor by eliminating a weak link in their organization. Now fall out, there are more 'womp rats' in the next sector."

The Consular's story on Rishi is definitely interesting.

Interesting. I didn't remember all those details. The Knight story was disappointing by comparison. I get what they were going for and it was somewhat fitting. Just not very exciting.

Overall I say knight and warrior fit Ziost perfectly for oblivious reasons. What makes the wrath on Ziost good for me is you can be extreamly bitter and angry, not with just the Emperor, but with your self. I know my wrath has no idea what to do anymore, he's paying the price for his laziness(never building a true power base despite all his contacts, allies ect), wild card status and even told the Emperor that what he (Wrath) did on Ziost was useless in the end. There's some good identity crisis and regret with my Wrath right now.

I might've mentioned it before but Shadow of Revan was the best thing to happen to the Warrior. His tool status made me write him off as a true Sith capable of rising to the expectations of Dark Lord, if not the official title. But being named the Empire's Wrath allows him to be useful and retain his power, while also not being a literal tool anymore. As the Empire's Wrath he is a near perfect check on the system, ensuring the laws are upheld and the well-being isn't threatened. He can have a stabilizing effect on the Dark Council while also being a real challenge for those who would seek to gain power through treachery. He will never be the Master. But at least he's no longer a servant because he serves a system, not a person.

That's my Warrior anyway. Schemers have been using him all his life. He knows he's no schemer, he doesn't have the mind for it. But now he's a schemer's puppet no more. Now he can serve a system that governs more fully than the Sith code and this he can pledge himself to fully, for it will never betray him. Any schemers that threaten the system, externally or internally will be dealt with with extreme prejudice.

I just wish Yaven 4 was better. Outside the stuff with Marr and the Rwevan fight it self, it was very underwhelming and there was alot of stuff that was not even recognized at parts. While Ziost was short, it did a fantastic job with what it wanted to do plus that ending cutscenes. Rishi was also enjoyable despite the campy feel (which does not fit inquisitors or warriors) at the start.

I'm shocked there wasn't anything involving Exar Kun given the fact that he's imprisoned on the very same planet.

I despised how the Empire and Republic were teaming up. AGAIN! Just sign another treaty already jeez.
